The door opened and in it stood Stownes, along with armed soldiers. He clenched his fists in anger. Theia and Levi pulled away from each other.
"Get your dirty hands off her," Stownes hissed. "Arrest him! He's trying to attack the captain again!" He ordered, but Theia stopped them with an outstretched palm. Levi looked at her in confusion. "Theia. We had a deal and here you see my proof," Stownes smiled and he pointed towards Levi, who obviously didn't know what he was talking about. Theia licked her lips and took a deep breath to vanish the situation she was in with Levi a short while ago, from her mind.
"Yes, we had an agreement. But I also have one condition," she said coldly, ignoring Levi's questioning look.
"Theia, who is that?" He asked, stepping defensively a little in front of her.
"What condition?" Stownes challenged, putting his hands in pockets.
"All of Levi Ackerman's crimes will be erased. And when I mean all of them, I mean all of them, I don't want anyone to remember something he did underground," Levi widened his eyes and turned towards her. "Do we understand each other?" She raised an eyebrow.
"I expected something smarter from you. I agree then. But I don't want to see him in the capital ever again, and certainly not with you..." Stownes answered her forcefully.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Levi asked, obviously quite shocked.
"Levi Ackerman," Theia addressed him and he looked her straight in the eye. He saw immense pain in them. "I, Theia Smith. Captain of the military garrison and Ambassador of the capital..."
"What are you doing, Theia?" He scowled; his brows almost created one.
"...I am expelling you from the capital with immediate effect! You are prohibited from re-entering without special permission..." she shouted at him, but he walked up to her and grabbed her elbow.
"Stop it!" He warned her, but Theia jerked away from him, her eyes closing as tears began to form. She opened them again and stared straight into his confused face.
"Kneel," she commanded him in an icy voice. Levi shook his head.
"Theia...no" he protested desperately, his eyes trying to find an answer, why she was doing all of this.
"Get on your knees!" She yelled and Stownes smiled at the sight of Levi closing his eyes, relaxing his body and dropping to both knees, right in front of Theia. "I forbid you to seek me out or meet me anymore..."
"No... you don't want it," He whispered, his eyes now blankly following the floor. She closed her eyes, from which the first tears fell.
"Don't you ever come near me again," she finished her command, stifling a cry, watching his shocked expression full of questions. "Take him away," his hair covered his face and he pushed the first guards away.
"Please tell me what's going on," he whispered.
"Don't fight Levi! You're just making things worse," she warned him coldly, ignoring his question.
"I don't care what happens to me anymore," he finally let the guards stand him up and to lead him out of the room, leaving Theia alone with Stowns, who was clapping his hands enthusiastically.
"That was a performance worthy of a medal," he laughed and stroked her back, but she yanked away furiously. "Our agreement is valid. The little one goes back to where he belongs to and you will agree to cancel the scouting unit" he repeated their agreement and Theia vigorously wiped the tears from her face. Together they walked out into the courtyard and headed towards the main building where a meeting focused on survey corps was to be held. She noticed the surprised father standing aside, watching Levi led by the guards.
