Chapter XXVI. Captain Levi

They didn't stand in front of the dining room, so he wasn't sure at first, what he was looking at. But when Theia put a leather strap from the bridle in his palm, he understood. Surprisingly, he looked into her face. "It's yours. In a village named Dauper, the best horses between the walls are kept. They are persistent, devoted, and especially, the fastest, " Theia said and cared the belly of a tall animal, feeling incredibly small next to it. Levi still had an open mouth as a sign of a huge surprise.

"How did you get him?"

"I promised the one who raised this beauty that I would get his daughter into the army. He wants her in the garrison but he also said to me, she is like a wild beast. I am looking forward to it, "she laughed and walked over to Levi. "Congratulations to you, Captain Levi. I wish you a lot of luck but promise me that you will return to me from every expedition by this horse. Alive and healthy. Take it as a gift from me." She stroked his cheek, not even having an idea of what storm of emotions inside him she caused by these honest speech. Without a word, he stroked his new friend's head and combed it's beautiful mane. He turned back to Theia and carefully pulled her into his arms to put his head on her shoulder and exhaled deeply.

"You ..." he sighed and cursed himself for all the doubts he had been troubled a little while ago. "What are you doing to me?" Theia smiled after his words, but he didn't allow her to move out of his arms. "I didn't feel this way for seventeen years. I found home in you and that means to someone like me more than you can even realize. I wasn't sure if I could ever find it in my life again, but with you ... everything is different. You are my home. My whole world. I love you. I love you so much," Theia wasn't sure if she heard right, but his words caused a new flood of butterflies that flew all over her body. She felt he was shaking and so, she lovingly stroked his back. "You give me so much and I ..." he whispered, and she pulled out forcibly. She looked into his ashamed face and shook her head.

"What are you talking about? What could I wish more, than you?" She approached his pink mouth, which she tenderly kissed. She loved his lower lip and stroked his chest until they were interrupted by the horse's head. Levi smiled, closed his eyes and snuggled to the animal.

"Thank you," he whispered with his eyes closed. And Theia was sure, just because of his sincere smile she could do anything in the world.

Together they took the horse back to the stables, where he got his special place among the companions of high officers.

"And now the less pleasant part awaits us," Theia said, while watching Levi, who was very carefully stroking the horse's head.

"Don't even think about it. I'm not going to any stupid celebration," he cut her off and closed the wooden gate.

"This is exactly what I meant. Hey, I was hoping we were moving forward. Those people, they did it for you. They care about you, so stop acting like a selfish kid! " Her rough words had no effect on him and therefore she reached for the last weapon. "Look at what I have for you. Together with a horse, you can also get a special bonus, " she showed him a bag of black tea in front of his nose. "It's a tea more black than coal. I stole it from Mitras," Levi's hand fired in the air, but she managed to hide the pocket in the palm at the last moment. "You won't even see a leaf from it if your ass doesn't move towards the dining room where your friends are waiting for you!" She added in a serious tone, but it was clearly seen that her eyes were smiling playfully.

"You..." he said irritably, turning her back to walk by lazy steps from the stables, heading to the noise of the dining room. Although she didn't want to believe what he was willing to do for a little tea, she followed him with a smile and took his hand to encourage him. They reached the base of the scout unit and the sounds from the dining room became more and more audible until they stood in front of the entrance, where Levi turned sharply. Theia rolled her eyes and turned him back, and he, as his custom, exhaled once again. She knocked on a huge door and the noise stopped immediately. She reached for the handle and the door opened so suddenly until she felt that he instinctively gripped her palm.
