"I'll go with you. I made a bit of a mess there last time, which could cause you heart attack," Theia caught up with Levi in the corridor to open the door. Together they entered the room where they found a silent Hanje standing by Erwin's large library. "Hanje?" Theia approached her cautiously when Hanje finally noticed them. She quickly wiped her face with her fingers and walked over to the bookcase, where she tucked the book she had been reading them a while ago. Theia frowned and walked into the dark room.

"I'm sorry, I... I just wanted to return the book," Hanje wiped her face with her sleeve again and put her glasses on her nose.

"Don't apologize for the tears,"

"What are you talking about Theia? Have you ever seen me cry?" Hanje faked a laugh and Levi closed the door to give them privacy. Theia let out a breath and walked across the room to sit in the chair by the window where she always sat when drinking coffee with her father.

"As smart as he was, he had no sense of humor at all. Whenever he didn't understand a joke, he frowned with those thick eyebrows and scrunched his nose," she touched the tip of her nose with her finger while smiling.

"After the meetings, he talked to himself for another two hours. It was never a conversation, he just organized his own thoughts and bothered us all," Levi pointed out and also walked over to the coffee table and leaned against the wall next to the window, which was his typical place.

"He didn't know how to play cards. I will pay his debts to Pyxis for the rest of my life," Theia laughed.

"He always came to my room after spending the nights with the higher ups and there he annoyed me with his drunken plans for the next expedition. He threw up on my bed. Not once," Levi remarked with distaste, to which Theia gave a hearty laugh.

"But he always came on time in the morning. He greeted us with his typical 'Good morning all' and his face was serious despite his unkempt hair," Hanje said in a low voice and turned gently to look at Theia who was laughing lightly.

"Instead of telling people how he appreciated or liked them. He only said something like: I'm glad we are here, together," Thiea added dreamily to which Levi breathed sadly.

"He always worked late into the night and fell asleep. His head was falling and his eyes were closing slowly, but he never admitted that he was sleeping," said Levi in a slightly broken voice, not realizing that a tear fell from his eye. "Fuck," he immediately wiped it off and looked away to the corner of the room. Theia's eyes moved to Hanje, who turned her head to the side to once again hide her own sadness from them.

You're not the only one who lost him.

She carefully got up from the chair and walked over to Hanje, who she gently pulled into her arms.

"Don't hide honey. Your tears are just proof that you've been strong for too long," she hugged her and Hanje's knees buckled, sending them down to the floor. "I'm sorry for my behavior. I know what father meant to you," Theia whispered into her hair and let the tears soak her clothes. She returned her gaze to Levi, who she summoned with her fingers. For a while he tried to pretend he didn't see her, but finally he got up and knelt down next to the two women so Theia could pull him into her arms as well. "You know, surely one day we will sit down and say. "It was hard, but we did it," she laughed and held Hanje and Levi tighter in her arms. "You have lived too long for him. It's time to live for yourself. Now I'm here to protect you two," she kissed both of their hair, at which Hanje laughed softly and wiped her tears by her sleeve.

"It's going to be hard," she said, resting her head on Theia's chest.

"It was never fucking easy," Levi remarked annoyed, to which Theia smiled.
