Theia walked quickly towards the stables, where the carriage had been waiting for her since last night. On the way, she took from Erwin documents saying which places Levi should see together with a written and sealed order from Commandant Pixis, which she wanted to read on the way to the capitol. She entered the stables, where Levi was already waiting, leaning against the wall. Confused, she looked at the large clock in the main building and then back at Levi.

"I'm not late," she defended herself.

"I couldn't sleep," he explained his early arrival. She frowned and got into the carriage first.

"You were serious about insomnia back then?" Both of them now recalled the memory of their late conversation about a month ago.

"I never slept well," Levi examined her closely, fascinated by the number of papers she had in her hands. She was wearing a military uniform. Evidently borrowed, because yesterday she was wearing a dress and now only a shirt without a jacket belonging to the military garrison. He didn't know why, but white shirt really suited her pale skin, and also,... her hair was tied in a bun, but red strands fell along her face. She had earrings in her ears, which he had not seen on any woman among the scouts, and he had to admit that she smelled uncomfortably nice.

"You never slept well. That means what?" She interrupted his thoughts and Levi straightened up, looking out the window of the carriage.

"Is the quality of my sleep important to this mission?" He asked coldly and Theia sighed.

"Could we just call it a trip?" She suggested, opening the envelope from Pixis. Her eyes scanned the lines and her face grew serious. She folded the letter and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"It would be faster on a horse," Levi remarked, but this time it was Theia who ignored his remark.

They were quiet most of the way and after four long hours they finally arrived at the place. They got off at the main gate of the royal city of Mitras. At first glance, it seemed that they were in another world. Everything was so clean and luxurious. Ladies with parasols strolled along the flower-lined promenades. Others sat in parks decorated with ornamental trees and fountains. Not knowing that beneath their feet lies a disgusting, underground city full of poverty, filth, disease and death. Levifelt anxious right after arrival. If Erwin himself hadn't asked him personally, he wouldn't have come here voluntarily. Theia quickly noticed his nervousness.

"Let's go to the hotel first," She moved closer to him so he could hear her and also feel her presence, not to be so nervous in such a monstrous and disgusting city.

"Are we going to be here overnight?" But Levi's irritation was only growing.

"Don't worry, I'll pay for it. Or rather, a military garrison," she assured him even though she knew that expenses weren't exactly what was bothering him. Together they entered a luxurious hotel and she asked for the keys in the name of Commandant Pixis. They had gone up three floors when they finally found the right place. "Are we really going to be in the same room?" Levi asked, not hiding his frustration.

"I'm in charge of you. I don't want you to run away or wander around here. Don't worry, I asked for a room with two separate bedrooms," she replied calmly and opened the door to the hotel room. They just stand there, staring in shock for the moment at the arrangement of the hotel room.

"I see your superiors are really reliable," Levi pointed out nonchalantly, entering the first single room with one large double bed.

"I'll drown that old geezer in his own urine when I get back to the Trost," Theia hissed in pure fury, imaginating how Pixis had to be stroking his mustache under his nose in satisfaction over this situation on her behalf.
