Coastal city of Paradis Island August 2, 853

"How long do you want to keep us here? I am a mother and I would like to see my daughter," but her words were stopped harshly.

"Theia Ackerman, how are you going to explain the events in Liberio?" Prime Minister Zachary asked seriously during the hearing about the Marley Territory incident, pushing his glasses higher, ignoring her angry remark. Theia rolled her eyes because she was about to say the sentence she had said about the tenth time already.

"I take full responsibility for all of Eren's actions, as well as the actions of the scouting unit," her words were interrupted by a loud slam of palms to the table.

"It was only a matter of time before that woman would lead us into trouble! We gave her too much freedom!" One of the high-ranking officers of the military police shouted.

"And thanks to that you have modern weapons, an airship, several planes, ships, overseas food, an island without titans and much more," Theia stated nonchalantly as she shifted from foot to foot a short distance from the giant table behind which sat the entire executive council of Paradis. She almost felt like a criminal.

"Don't talk like it's all your merit," one of the ministers stopped her, noticing Levi's hostile look. He stood by the window and waited for his statement, which in the end no one wanted to hear.

"The council agreed that Eren Yeager is a danger to Paradis. He'll stay in the cell until we decide what to do with him," Zachary said after clearing his throat slightly.

"You really think you can keep him locked?" Levi interrupted them arrogantly, causing Zachary to exhale.

"Theia. No one can be sure that his actions weren't under your commands,"

"Bullshit..." Levi interrupted Zachary again.

"Levi. Wait until you're called," he admonished, but Levi bounced off the wall.

"We've been risking our own necks all these years just so you can be proud of the glory of Paradis. Stuffing your pockets with wealth and patting yourself on the back about how well this land is doing under your leadership," Theia turned towards Levi who was clearly angry.

"Levi, that's enough," she warned him, but he walked over to her to be closer to the council.

"Well, now that we got rid of the titans and got a lot of what your hungry mouths craved, you want to get rid of everyone who still stands in your way, so that you have all the military power and especially Eren," after Levi's statement, all the council members stared in shock, but no one uttered a sound. Levi crossed his arms over his chest because he was sure of his truth.

"It's clear they're trying to get all the power just for the scouting legion," grumbled one of the chairmen and Theia rolled her eyes.

"Until we're sure you're loyal to Paradis, you'll be under surveillance, Theia," Zachary declared and Levi frowned in shock.

"You want to put her in jail?" He asked as Zachary nodded to the guards walking towards Theia. "No!" Levi whispered and stood in front of Theia who grabbed his shoulder.

"Levi, listen to me..." she began, but he turned to her with a look so dark and pissed off that it made her words get stuck in her throat.

"I told you that I would follow you anywhere and listen to your every order. But, don't want this from me. I won't let you be taken from me again!" Theia stared in surprise at his determined face as the soldiers lined up in front of them. "I won't let any of them hurt you again," he gritted angrily between his teeth, staring into Theia's eyes, deeply affected by his firm words.
