Levi opened his eyes and exhaled heavily.

"Fuck," he felt like a boulder had fallen on him. He wasn't sure if he could even move. First he tried to move his hands, from which a lot of rubble and wood fell out. Immediately afterwards he checked the legs. Nothing seemed to be broken, but everything hurt like hell. He coughed out the dust that was swirling all around and was honestly surprised that none of the Titans had found them yet. He touched Theia's body, which was still lying motionless on top of him. He tried as carefully as possible to get her off him and put her on the floor when he felt an immense, stabbing pain in his injured leg. He got a closer look at it to notice a huge piece of joist sticking out of his thigh. He tilted his head back and gritted his teeth as he tried to pull his leg off the wood, but without any result. He let out a painful breath and looked to his side where Theia lay unconscious with blood pouring from her head. Through the pain, he turned his leg to the side and carefully reached for a piece of wood. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck..." he took a few breaths and pushed the wood with one hand, while he helped pull his leg out with another one. He let out a furious breath as he finally managed to free himself and immediately covered the wound with both hands to stop the bleeding. He reached over to Theia to make sure she was breathing and pushed strands of hair away from her face. "I forbade you to die, so I hope you take that seriously," he whispered, awkwardly sitting up so he could find Riko. She was lying not far from them. He reached her on his knees, but he could already see her open eyes from a distance. He retorted angrily and sat next to her dead body, examining her huge injuries that she had no chance to survive. He closed her eyes with his fingers and took off the jacket he used to cover her face. He was so angry that he felt he couldn't stand himself. He felt like not even being able to look Theia in the eyes under the burden of guilt that was tormenting him. He looked around the devastated room to find some pieces of cloth he could use to bandage his leg and subsequently Theia's injuries. He wasn't sure if something was broken in her body, so he very carefully moved her to the corner of the room, where he prepared a soft place for her to rest. He rested her head and began to treat the small wounds on her face and body caused by the fall. Luckily for them, the building was still occupied until this morning, so he found the necessary supplies and even some leftover food in the kitchen. He watched the setting sun through the small windows and despite the fact that his leg hurt incredibly, he thought how he would get them to safety during the night. He noticed the two titans he hadn't managed to kill earlier slowing down in their walk, but they weren't going to sleep. He snapped angrily and returned with the food to Theia, who was still unconscious. He placed the tray on the floor and looked at her pale face. "Come on. Wake up already. Don't worry me, please," he caressed her cheek and reached for a piece of old bread. He bit into it with reluctance. "We were supposed to go on a picnic today. I was hoping to eat your fresh baked bread," he breathed out disappointedly, with the taste of a dry piece of bread in his mouth. He put it back on the tray and nervously ran a hand through his hair.

"You've never been a picky eater," Theia whispered, opening her eyes exhausted. Levi immediately moved towards her to prevent her from moving.

"Does something hurt you? Can you move your limbs?" Theia couldn't control herself and smiled at his scared voice.

"Where's Riko?" Levi's silence caused her smile to disappear.

"I'm sorry," he whispered and she just frowned.

"I've had enough of excuses," she bit her lip regretfully as she observed Riko's body covered by Levi's jacket. "Fuck the titans. I have enough of them!" Levi pulled her hands into his.

"Please don't scream," he asked calmly when Theia realized where they were. She closed her eyelids and lowered her head, which she rested on his shoulder. Levi could only caress her back to at least ease her pain.
