"Your handwriting is so neat," she complimented Levi, after seven hours of silently filling out inventory charts.

"You're probably not good at concentrating on work, are you?" he retorted, not taking his eyes off the papers.

"And you're too good," she pointed out annoyed and went back to work. "How many pieces of ODM gear equipment do you use for one expedition?" She asked him.

"It depends on how many soldiers will participate in the expedition. There are mostly 50 to 60 of us. Sometimes is one of them damaged or destroyed. Many of them will not return anymore," he said in a calm voice.

"So, the number?"

"Eighty," he answered after a moment. Theia wrote down the data.

"About blades. You also use them for training, and it often breaks up during missions," Levi nodded and Theia wrote down the approximate number. "What about the gas?"

"Everyone changes it two or three times," he answered. Theia frowned.

"That should be reduced. Gas is impossibly expensive," Levi retorted. Too often he heard how much gas was wasted during the expedition. Theia stretched her back. "we're doing quite well when someone isn't obnoxious," she teased him and stood up to make them another cup of tea. "We haven't even had lunch," she remarked sadly and looked at the clock, which showed that it was after four o'clock. She placed the fresh tea in front of Levi, who nodded to thanks.

"Should I get you something?" He asked calmly.

"No," She sat in front of him and watched his serious face. The circles under his eyes were more visible than they had been four months ago, but his eyes had become even lighter, probably due to the sun he was exposed outside. But one thing, she only noticed today were the inconspicuous freckles on his nose, which she will definitely never tell him about, because he would kill her. She rested her head on her palm and watched the crease between his eyes and the ends of his hair brush against his pale face.

"Why did you come to the bar yesterday?" She asked him curiously.

"Erwin noticed you leaving the base," he replied nonchalantly and wrote down another information.

"He really knows everything. So, he ordered you to come after us?" She asked and lay down on the table, still watching his right hand.

"No," he answered in a low voice, not taking his eyes off the papers.

"So, you were worried about us?" She raised an eyebrow and Levi made eye contact with her for a few seconds. "You're so sweet," she said, smiling and leaning closer to him. Levi rolled his eyes and pushed her away with his hand.

"There are still people trying to hurt you and you just vanish. On the top of that, at night," Theia watched him in fascination. In such a short time, he was able to develop himself to an incredibly good level in writing and reading. He wrote as if he was born with that ability.

"What have you been doing these four months?" She asked him, ignoring his remark. He didn't answer, he just kept writing.

"Was it worth it?" He asked after a moment of silence. Theia grew serious.

"I couldn't just watch the murders anymore. And if something were to happen to you..." she looked sadly into his face.

"That's why you made yourself a prisoner in Mitras," he said dispassionately, tossing another stack of papers in front of him. He dipped his pen in ink and continued.

"If I keep looking away from sad things, they will happen again. If I kept running, I would repeat all the mistakes. And that's why I had to face it," Levi put down his pen and stared angrily into her eyes.
