Home stretch now!

Kissing his sleepy boyfriend goodnight and tucking him into bed, Wooyoung quietly left his bedroom and padded to the next door down. A sense of calm and homeliness washed over him from within the walls of his family home, but it was his brother's door that brought with the the greatest sense of ease, and as he poked his head inside to find him sitting in his window seat, illuminated by a backdrop of the streetlight outside, he smiled.

He'd spent so many years going in search of Yeosang, finding him in all kinds of places. But no matter where it was, he was always drawn to him, and now was no different. He felt his heart filling with golden warmth and happiness from the familiarity of his presence, and with it came a sense of love and gratitude.

'Sang,' he said fondly, heart fluttering as Yeosang's head turned towards him and his gaze softened when he laid eyes upon him.

'Hey,' his brother replied, voice kind of somehow both faraway and in that room with him at once. 'You're not going to bed yet?'

Padding inside, he brought with him his gift as he climbed up into the space his brother was making for him. 'No,' he replied. 'I said night to San. He's sleepy.'

He felt his heart throb as Yeosang tucked blankets up around him and made sure the pillows he leant into against the glass pane were fluffy and comfortable. He cared for him.

And his gratitude swelled. 'I brought you a dead mouse,' he said, reaching into his hoodie and pulling out a bar of chocolate...

A sharp and uneasy gasp tore from Yeosang's lips, but it was eventually replaced by a soft smile as he laid eyes on the bar. 'You know I didn't mean it when I said that, right?' he asked, taking it tenderly from him.

The way Yeosang opened the wrapper, only to break off the first square and give it to him made his heart warm more. 'I know you did,' he replied, but he wasn't hurt. He was fond. 'I'm going to keep doing it though,' he added. 'Giving you dead things. I'm good at it~' He shrugged, holding his chin high. That, and he liked giving him things. For so long he'd thought it was because he belonged to him... Owed him... Wanted to give back for everything he received.

And maybe that was still true...

But he was starting to think it was mainly just because he liked it. It made him so happy. He liked seeing something and thinking of him. Liked giving him things to show he cared, and liked seeing the way it made him happy too. To see him with the things he'd given him.

Yeosang let out a surprised breath before he laughed quietly, shifting into his side and leaning into him. Weaving an arm through his, he lifted his knees up under the blanket and leaned them towards him as he broke off another square and nibbled on the corner. 'You've always given me far more than I deserve.'
