Wow...
It was the only word on Hongjoong's mind as he walked, one foot slowly in front of the other along a path of white and blush pink rose petals amongst the grass— arm through Mr. Kang's.
All he could see was the incredible archways leading to the arbour decorated like he had never seen it before, with white sashes and flower arrangements and candles and rainbows and ducks waddling in amongst the guests...
And all those faces were turned in their chairs, soft music in the background, eyes looking at him...
'Oh god...' he whispered, steps faltering... He didn't know why he was so nervous... He was already bloody married!
But gulping, glancing down, his hands were shaking...
Mr. Kang squeezed his arm with his, keeping his head high. 'Son, breathe,' he said gently with the same safe, comforting voice he'd listened to his whole life. 'Just picture yourself standing at that altar, with your husband. This day— It is for you two. It is for your love, for one another. Do you love him?'
He choked on the lump in his throat, letting out a shuttered breath as he nodded. 'So much...'
Mr. Kang squeezed his arm again, though this time, he turned to him and met his gaze. 'Then hold your head proudly, son,' he said with his familiar smile. 'You will commemorate your love with your husband under that very arch... Let your feet take you to where your heart wants to be.'
His chest throbbed. 'Aboji...' he murmured, wanting nothing more than to hug him right there...
'Come on~' Mr. Kang said, squeezing his arm gently before helping him step by step... Steps he took, indeed, driven only by the intense ache to reach the place he could be with his husband...
Soft music played as he followed the trails of candles and rose petals, and as they made it to the guests, the path was clear to the arch, and he faltered...
Because at the end of the scattered white roses, the petals turned crimson red, and either side, their friends stood in their white suits... All with the most genuine, welcoming and loving smiles upon their faces...
Mingi and San... God, he'd never thought he would be so emotional, laying eyes upon the two. Mingi's eyes twinkled with kindness and such tender care, and San looked like he was just a gentle breeze from tears with such intense pride...
But as his feel began pulling him towards his friends, the moment his eyes drew to the other side, he could not look away...
Wooyoung, and Yeosang... His best friends... His brothers... His life...
