Mystery (Fred Weasley x Y/n Potter)

The Will

There was no time to answer Mrs.Weasley as Mr.Weasley appeared out of thinair at the gate with Rufus Grimgeour at his side, They marched across the yard towards the garden. Fred grabbed my waist as they walked to the lantern-lit garden as we where sitting. Scrimgeour looked much older than last time more shaggy and grim. 

"Sorry to intrude," said Scrimgeour limping to a halt before us,"Expecially as I can see that I am gate-crashing a party,"  

He looked at the Snitch and Potion cake,"Many Happy returns," 

"Thanks," Harry and I said

"I require a private word with you two," Scrimgeour went on,"Also with Mr.Ronald weasley and Ms. Hermione Granger," 

"Us?" said Ron surprised,"Why us?" 

"I shall tell you when we are somewhere more private," said Scrimgeour,"Is there such a place?" he demanded of Mr.Weasley

"Yes, of course," said Mr.Weasley nervous,"The sitting room, why don't you use that?" 

"You can lead the way," Scrimgeour to Ron,"There will be no need for you to accompany us, Arthur," 

Fred squeezed my waist as Mr.Weasely exchanged a worry look with Mrs.Weasley. I stood up with Harry  and we walked back to the house in silence. We walked into the sitting room. Scrimgeour sat in Mr.Weasley seat. We all squeezed on to the couch

"I have some questions for the 4 of you and I think it will be best if we do it individually. It you three," said Scrimgeour pointing as Harry, Hermione and I" can wait upstairs, I will start with Ronald," 

"We're not going anywhere," said Harry with Hermione and I noddeding

"You can speak to us together or not at all," I said 

Scrimgour gave Harry and I a cold look before continuing,"Very well then, together," he said,"I am here, as Im sure you know, because of Albus Dumbledore will," 

We all gave each others looks of confusion

"A surprise, apparently! You were not aware then that Dumbledore had left you anything?" 

"A-all of us," said Ron,"Me and Hermione too?"

"Yes all of---"

Harry interupped,"Dumbledore died cover a month ago. Why has it taken this long to give us what he left us?" 

"Isnt it obvious?" said Hermione,"They wanted to examine whatever he's left us. You had no right to do that!" 

"I had every right," said Scrimgeour,"The Decree for Justifiable Confiscation gives the Ministry the power to confiscate the contents of a will---" 

"That law was created to stop  wizards passing on Dark Artifacts," I said,"And the Ministry is supposed to have powerful evidence that the deceased possessions are illegal before seizing them! Are you telling me that you thought Dumbledore was trying to pass us something cursed!" 

"Are you planning to follow a career in Magical Law, Ms.Potter," asked Scrimgeour

"No I am not," I crossed my arms,"I'm hoping to do some good in the world," 

Ron laughed and Harry spoke

"So why have you decided to let us have our things now? Cant think of a pretext to keep them?" 

"No it'll be because 31 days are up," said Hermione,"They cant keep the objects longer than that unless they can prove they're dangerous. Right?" 

"Woudl you say you were close to Dumbledore, Ronald?" asked Scrimgoeur ignoring Hemriione
