The blue moonlight shines through the windows illuminating the room to the purest blue ever. The light beautifully shines up the space and bounces off any surfaces it touches. I wish it would shine all day like this. I'm glad the nurse suggested that we pull the curtains back. She said that this room has one of the best views at nighttime that the hospital had to offer, whatever that means.

I want to see outside the window.

"Eden, uncuff us. I want to go look out of the window."

"No."

"Please, please, please. I want to see outside. Please Eden. We've been trapped in this room all day."

"Fine on one condition. We must stay handcuffed together."

"Okay," I smile at Eden.

Eden takes the key off her necklace and uncuffs us from the bed before handcuffing us together. We walk together toward the window and look out of it.

"Whoa," I say.

"Whoa indeed."

The stars shine white bright, perfectly mixing in with the blue moonlight. Being this high up, it seems as if we are close to the stars yet we are so far away. The moonlight shines and bounces off the neighboring building windows, the leaves of the All-Color trees, the shiny streets, flowers, and the tall green grass below.

"Eden, can we go outside?"

"No."

"Why? You never let me do anything."

"It's almost midnight."

"So, I just want to stand in the moonlight. It's so pretty Eden."

"I know. Look what is that?" Eden asks while pointing at a small animal bouncing across the grass in the field.

"Ew," I happily say while trying to get closer to the window.

"I want one."

"Absolutely not."

"Please."

"I didn't realize we were up so many floors," Eden says while turning her attention back to the sky.

"The animal Eden, let's go get it."

"No."

Eden is so annoying, she doesn't let me have pets or do anything fun at all. I can't stand this. All we do is hide, hide, and when we're done hide some more.

"Eden, I want to go outside."

"No."

"Take me outside, right now Eden!" I yell pointing in her face.

"No," she says grinding her teeth together without fletching.

"I can take her."

The voice causes us to jump and Eden and I both turn toward the door. Eden pushes me behind her.

Peaking over her shoulder I see my handsome mate standing in front of us with a big bouquet of pretty pink and cream flowers in a glass vase decorated with a purple ribbon in his hands. His white teeshirt, dark blue washed jeans, and brown high-top shoes make him look more like a commoner than royalty. He's tall.

"These are for you beautiful," he says and smiles at me.

He places the vase down on the bedside table. It has a card attached.

"We thank you for the flowers, please leave," Eden says calmly.

"I've come to talk with my–"

"Don't," Eden cuts him off.
