The Broken Pack

"You're leaving." Jimin is the first one to break the thick silence in Taehyung's room.

Y/n shifts in her place next to him on the edge of the mattress, her hands by her sides the only thing keeping her body up. It looks like she slept for a good eight hours, but somehow her body still feels restless and drained.

These two poor men haven't slept a blink of an eye last night, yet here they are, willing to stay with her like they promised last night. She told herself she was going to fix this today. And for that, she needs to be honest with him.

"Yes." She mumbles.

She can feel the way Jimin's body tense at her answer. She wants to reach out and comfort him, but then she will break apart and let him in. And that won't be good for either of them.

"Little wolf.." His voice is heavy with desperation as he turns his head towards her, and Y/n's heart just about cracks open.

Her hands tighten on the duvet and she forces herself to speak. "I need time to think and I can't do that when I'm near you."

She is taken aback by her honesty. But it's good that he knows how much he affects her. At least that can bring him some comfort.

However, his next word completely catches her off guard. "Are you going to break the bond?" He is a bit breathless when he lets his fear known in the cold room.

Y/n is forced to turn at him, shocked at his words. Now that she's looking at him, she can see the panic and the fear tenfold. How he's trying his damn hardest to not lose his mind, consumed by every possible dark thought.

Her breath is shaky when she answers. "I was lied to and betrayed, Jimin. I might be emotional, but I'm not stupid."

While it might have been very easy for her to call off their bond when they met in the beginning, now, she can't imagine a day when she's not his. She wants to go back home to gather her thoughts and heal from this excruciating pain in her chest. She doesn't know how long that might take. A year, two years, or even her whole life to forgive him, and maybe she's being selfish with it. Maybe that's how she wants to punish him.

But she wants to remain his omega.

She can practically taste Jimin's relief from the way his body loosens up at her answer. It's all so messed up. Both of them are not ready to let each other go, and it doesn't seem to matter to him how long it takes her to come back to him, he is willing to wait even if it's for his whole life.

Alone. Just like his father.

That's the kind of man he is. So wonderfully committed and selfless when it comes to her.

It makes her want to forgive him as much as it makes her want to give him an earful for being so selfless. The hypocrisy is not lost on her though. Cause she would do the same thing for him. She will wait her whole life for him if she has to. She is just as gone for him as he is for her.
