Choosing Him

"It won't be easy finding the pack," Hoseok informs them as they walk out of the alpha house.

Y/n turns to him with a questioning gaze.

"The pack doesn't want to be found, so we don't know where it is," Namjoon explains as everyone heads into the woods. "If you could try locating Tae with the bond, we might be able to find it."

Y/n immediately dreads that option, but what else can she do? She doesn't have any other choice. So with much reluctance, she agrees. Everyone bunches up in a spot and starts stripping for the transformation while Y/n finds a corner behind a large bush.

Y/n was only able to focus on some of her abilities when she was in her wolf form, but with her recently acquired abilities, she can do much more even without transforming. Once on all fours, she centres herself and feels for the bond she never knew was a part of her all this time. Feeling Taehyung's energy is new to her, since the only person she had always sought out was Jimin.

It's difficult at first, since she doesn't know what kind of energy she is looking for, but amongst Jimin's chaotic web of darkness and her own turmoil, she finds a thread of blue somewhere in the back of her mind. She grabs onto it immediately before it can vanish and pinpoints where it's located.

Her head snaps towards the right, where she can feel the energy the strongest. The boys are on it immediately. Together, they climb up the mountains as Y/n leads them.

It takes them a whole day to find the pack. With no sleep and no break in between, the group is exhausted by the time they stumble across the large, thick walls on Taehyung's pack. The exterior looks rich, and werewolves are standing guard on top, hinting at the royal pack that resides over the walls.

Y/n watches the guards from her hiding spot behind a bush. From what she can see, these royals appear truly paranoid. Taehyung did say that his father was a coward and absolutely despised women. She releases a sardonic breath. Leave it to a pathetic man to weep over his fate.

Y/n knew beforehand that their will be high security at the gates of the pack, so it was decided that she would sneak in from an opening only Yoongi knew about. Taehyung had told him about it back in the academy ten years ago, and somehow, he still remembers it.

Slowly, she follows Yoongi towards the back of the enormous pack. He spends a moment finding the specific area and then uses his mouth to tear at a patch of thorny bushes to make a way for her. Once he's done, he points his head towards it. Light on her paws, Y/n strides over and nuzzles the top of her fluffy head against his jaw, where he is prickled by the thorns.

Yoongi grooms the top of her head for a moment before he guides her inside the small space. Y/n crawls for a good minute before transforming back halfway through. It's better to hide a smaller frame than a larger one. She changes back into the clothes that she tied to her leg and continues.

In no way is she ready to see Taehyung's face. Honestly, she doesn't even know what she feels about the idea of meeting him after so long. She has no idea how she will react. Despite what she's been through the last five years, she doesn't hold any hatred towards him or jimin. She knew their reasoning was valid. It wasn't their fault that things turned out the way they did. What she holds against them is the secrecy and the lies.

Despite hoping for better, the past ended up repeating itself. But she would never let it ruin as many lives as it did before. She won't let her parents' mistake repeat.

There is even more security inside, and one by one, she takes down each guard that she comes across. The energy of the bond is much more potent now that she is inside the walls. It confirms that Taehyung is indeed here. Walking towards an opening that leads into the woods in the back of the ridiculously enormous residence, she takes a deep breath and feels for the bond again.
