CHAPTER 86: A New War

Henry stood in the elevator going up to the headmasters' office and he was absolutely nervous beyond comprehension. Khan Alcyon had escaped the Erebos Facility with help from the Tanaka Bandit Tribe and worst of all, Grimshaw was with them. He had received the report from Fort Hawkins' troops less than an hour ago and he made haste to inform the headmasters about what was happening. A repeat of the Crisis might be unfolding now that Khan is back. Adding the fact that the Peace Faction is gone, things couldn't be worse for the Union. The elevator dings telling Henry he reached the office level. The doors slide open, and he steps out into the office. Ozpin and Sirzechs were talking to Ironwood, but Henry didn't care, there was something more urgent to talk about. Ozpin and Sirzechs notice Henry and stop talking causing Ironwood to turn around. Ironwood glares at Henry.

Ozpin: "Director, is something wrong?" he asks, noticing Henry's nervousness.

Henry: "Khan Alcyon has escaped from the Erebos Facility." he said, dropping a bomb shell on everyone present.

Everyone's eyes widen in horror, even Ironwood was shocked.

Sirzechs: "What!? That's impossible!" he said, his shocked tone emanating.

Ironwood: "How did he escape?" he asked.

Henry: "He had help. The Tanaka Bandit Tribe and Grimshaw aided in his escape." he informed.

Sirzechs: "Grimshaw? Isn't that the mercenary you hired to help you fight this war in the shadows?" he asked, his voice getting increasingly angrier. "I thought we could trust him!"

Henry: "Well apparently we can't."

Ironwood saw an opportunity to elevate himself.

Ironwood: "This is what I was talking about." he said.

Henry turned his head to Ironwood with an uncaring look in his eyes.

Ironwood: "Henry is leading us towards a total defeat. His actions have led to the Peace Faction's defection and now Khan Alcyon's escape." he said.

Ozpin and Sirzechs look at each other. Henry just stood there listening to him speak.

Ironwood: "Henry has proven to no longer be effective or useful. I think it's time he's replaced." he said.

Ozpin: "Replaced by whom?" He asked.

Ironwood: "Someone more capable of dealing with this threat." he said. "Perhaps I could deal with this threat more effectively."

Sirzechs: "You think we're just going to forget that you let Bingham fall?" he asked.

Ironwood: "This is more important than Bingham! The entire nation is under threat!" he argues loudly.

Henry: "Correction. Global stability is at stake." he said.

Ironwood glared at Henry.

Henry: "Or did you forget that it took both Union AND the Separatist States everything they had to take him down?" he asked.

Ironwood growled at Henry. His hatred for the director evident.

Ozpin: "Henry is correct." he said.

Ironwood looked at Ozpin stunned. They're STILL backing Henry!?

Sirzechs: "When Khan Alcyon first attacked, it took the world everything to stop him." he reminisced. "Ozpin's current vessel at the time died in the conflict against Khan and I lost many Devils."

???: "Don't forget that amount of Fallen Angels that died too." a voice said.

Henry and Ironwood turn around to see Azazel, the leader of the Fallen Angels.
