The trip to Coruscant was a long one but during that time, both (Y/n) and Vader meditated together as a means of preparing for the battle to come. But our hero was nervous and filled with anxiety. What if they lose? If they lose, Palpatine knows where Earth is now thanks to Vader so he will most likely send a force to conquer it which means his family will be in danger and the world he fought so hard to liberate would be subjugated once more. So, failure is not an option here, so he needs to give it his A Game if he wants to win. Knowing his family will be at risk if he fails, it gives him a strong motivation to win. But he and Vader together are enough to take him out. it has to be. When they eventually arrived at Coruscant, the two Force users immediately boarded a ship and went straight for Palpatine who was waiting for them in the Imperial Executive Building. When the LAAT landed in the designated landing zone, both (Y/n) and Vader stepped off the gunship, and they were greeted by Mas Amedda and a few Royal Guards.

"Welcome back to Coruscant, Lord Vader, Lord Seraph." Mas greeted. "The emperor requests both of your presences in his office."

"Very well, bring us to him." Vader said.

Mas bows slightly before turning on his heel and guiding the two Force users through the building. The walk to Palpatine's office was uneventful but (Y/n) was delving into potential strategies to use against Palpatine. They can't just brute force their way to victory, they need to be smart about it. Palpatine may be old, but he is strong in the Dark Side of the Force, but so is both (Y/n) and Vader. When they arrive, they can see Palpatine sitting in his chair in front of the large window. The mostly red and silver colored room once being a place of democracy, now a place of tyranny. Palpatine saw both (Y/n) and Vader entering the room and smiled seeing them both.

"Lord Vader, Lord Seraph." Palpatine greets before he looks at Mas Amedda and the Royal Guards. "Leave us."

Mas nods and leaves the room with the guards following him. Now all alone, (Y/n) and Vader share a quick glance before looking at Palpatine who stands up and walks around his desk.

"I take it that planet which occupied your time has been, pacified?" Palpatine asked.

"Indeed, the Capital has fallen to our forces and it's government in shambles." (Y/n) answered.

"Good, good." Palpatine said, sounding pleased. "It brings me great joy to know you've come to your senses and joined us, (Y/n)."

"I wouldn't say joined."

Palpatine's smile briefly fades.

"What?"

"Surely someone of your skill and brains can identify what's going on here." (Y/n) said, as calm as can be.

Palpatine was confused and tried to think about what was happening. Suddenly, (Y/n) grabs his lightsaber and ignites it the white blade illuminating the room slightly. Palpatine simply laughs at this action.

"You've come all this way to kill me? Is that it?" Palpatine asked in an amused way. "That was a poor choice."

"You really think so?" (Y/n) asked.

"Your defiance wasn't unexpected." Palpatine said. "I had considered the possibility of your defiance, but this Empire will not fall so easily."

"I know, but I know the truth and soon the galaxy will know the truth too." (Y/n) said. "They'll know that you caused the Clone Wars, that you orchestrated so much to hurt others."

Palpatine once again laughed at this.

"You honestly believe they'll believe you?" Palpatine asked. "You were a Separatist."

"That may be, But I hear you changed my reputation to a positive one." (Y/n) said. "Lucky me."

Palpatine's smile slowly fades as he realizes that the former Sith knew more than he lets on.
