Chapter 104: The Beast Has been Located

Within the forests of Maine, a bunker entrance sits hidden by the trees around it. Deep within the Facility, Khan Alcyon and what remains of his forces have made this old base home. It once served as their base of operations in North America back in the day when they were at their peak. So far it went undiscovered, well from what Khan knows. For all he knows, Union could've found this base while he was gone. But he needed to flee to one of the bases that he knew wasn't destroyed or outright compromised and this Facility was one of them. Khan though thought about his loses and realized that if he wanted to continue the fight, he needed the Anarchists to reinforce his numbers. Those people are the largest pocket of Black Rose followers left on the planet but contacting them will be a challenge. As he stood in the war room, his remaining followers man the stations while the remaining Soldiers go on with their duties.

He then thinks about Grimshaw, he hasn't heard anything from him since their base in Russia was attacked. He hopes he survived. Losing Grimshaw would be a significant blow to his forces. During the days of the Black Rose, Grimshaw killed many and was always a reliable fighter. Losing someone as powerful as him will severely hamper his efforts. But as he thought about this, a cloud of black mist and smoke appears out of thin air and Grimshaw steps out of it. Khan turns to him and is surprised to see Grimshaw. It had been some time, but it seems his concerns were misplaced.

"Grimshaw." Khan greets.

"Khan." Grimshaw returned the greeting. "How long was I gone for?"

"Quite a while. Why?" Khan asked.

"Well, you won't believe what happened to me." Grimshaw said.

"Try me."

"I died and somehow came back to life." Grimshaw revealed.

Khan immediately searched for anything that could hint at Grimshaw telling a lie. But since he was wearing a mask, it was hard to tell. But he deduced that from the tone of voice and body language that Grimshaw was telling the truth. This came as a surprise to Khan. If Grimshaw died and came back to life, is he immortal? If he is, the Black Rose has attained a powerful asset. But the question is. How?

"How is this possible?" Khan asked.

"Not sure." Grimshaw said. "My powers are a mystery even to me. Perhaps it hit an evolution and got an upgrade."

"If that's the case, we need to see just how much of an upgrade it was." Khan said.

Outside of the base and in the sky, a United Forces UAV was flying overhead. But this was a special kind of drone, it was specifically designed for intelligence gathering, environmental scanning and has all kinds of detection tech. It's basically a Spy Drone. As the UAV flew around the area, it's scanners pierce through the trees and detects the bunker entrance. It also spots two Black Rose Soldiers out in front of it covering the entrance's bulk with camouflage. Seeing this the drone immediately deploys a tracking beacon that digs into the ground below before the UAV quickly turns around and flew away from the area.

Within his office, Henry was speaking to both Clover and Endeavor. Both of whom he plans to join him on the mission to take Khan Alcyon down. Henry doesn't know who or what the CRS will bring to the mission so he's bringing Union's best. The Ace Ops and the new number one hero, Endeavor. Henry was telling them that they would be working with the Rebels to bring Khan down and both had different reactions. Clover was okay with it as he trusts Henry, but Endeavor didn't like it. He didn't trust the Rebels at all and simply wanted to take the Rebels down not work with them. Henry expected this response to be honest. But before he could reason with Endeavor, the door to his office opened and a UIB Agent walked into the room.
