Chapter 125: Freedom

With Palpatine dead, (Y/n) and Vader while using Mas Amedda gathered all the evidence they needed to prove that Palpatine was the villain all along. It surprisingly didn't take too long to gather it all as Sidious had it all collected in one place. Then an emergency Senate meeting was called by Mas, and it took some time for the Senators to all be gathered but once they were, they filled the chamber waiting for the meeting to start. Bail Organa sat in his repulsorpod, or Senate pod, waiting for the meeting to start. He was thinking about Ahsoka and Rex who had yet to return from the Unknown Regions, he had considered going after them but knew he would get lost. He also considered contacting Ahsoka to check up on her but then the meeting was called. He had spoken to Mon Mothma about this to see if she had any idea on why this meeting was called but she wasn't sure. As he was deep in thought, Bail heard some of the Senators speaking.

"That's not the emperor." One Senator said.

Bail looked at the rising Chancellor's podium and to his shock he saw (Y/n) and Mas Amedda. He hadn't seen (Y/n) in a long time so seeing him suddenly surface in the Senate was a shock for sure. He looked over at Mon who looked concerned. Once the podium stopped rising, Mas calms down the chatter in the chamber allowing our hero to speak. He stands up and addresses everyone.

"I'm sure you all have many questions." (Y/n) starts. "This meeting was called by me, because there is something you all need to know about the Clone Wars. The truth behind it."

Bail and other senators looked on with interest. (Y/n) breathes in and out before holograms of the evidence he had gathered on Palpatine appeared in the chamber.

"Palpatine lied to you, all of you." (Y/n) revealed. "He's the one responsible for the Clone Wars, he played both sides of the War."

Gasps and expressions of shock filled the chamber as they saw the evidence. (Y/n) continued and he told them everything. How Palpatine ordered the creation of the Clone Army, how he was the Sith Lord who started the War, how he was the master of Count Dooku, how he manipulated everything and everyone. All of it. He didn't stop and the senate didn't bother to stop him. They listened to all of it and Mas confirmed what he could and even revealed Palpatine's plans for the galaxy. This shocked them even more as they all realized they had been played like fools. All those deaths, all those worlds damaged by the War. It was Palpatine's fault. The Senators were all stunned, especially those who believed in Palpatine and trusted his policies during his time as Chancellor. This shattered their world. Bail was surprised that he was doing all of this, but it showed him that despite our hero's allegiance to the Separatists during the War, he truly did care about the people of the galaxy.

"There is also one more thing you all must know." (Y/n) said. "Palpatine is dead, me and Anakin Skywalker killed him."

Gasps filled the chamber.

"Before you place your judgements, know this. Palpatine would never have gone quietly, he was far too dangerous to be left alive." (Y/n) said. "I could not afford any chance of him escaping as it meant the galaxy was still in danger."

The Senators all murmur amongst themselves. One of the senate pods moves from its resting place and towards (Y/n). Our hero can see Bail Organa on it. Once the pod hovers in front of the former Sith, the senator speaks.

"What happens now?" Bail asked.

"Now, we rebuild. Properly." (Y/n) answered. "Far from the flaws of the Galactic Republic and far from the darkness of the Galactic Empire."

"Do you propose we take up the system of the Confederacy?" Bail asked.

"No, we take up a new system." (Y/n) answered. "Something akin to a Federation."
