Chapter 116: Prepare for War

Things in Kuo Kuana couldn't be better. Word had just reached them that the Separatist States had joined them, and everyone was elated. The CRS Council celebrated this victory as if they won the War. The end of Union's tyranny was finally within their grasp after living under their regime for 80 years. They all immediately began preparing themselves for the next step, which was no doubt the inevitable Battle of Unity City. The soon to be most important battle in Earth's history. Nomad and Rex began running drills with the White Fang, Peace Faction and other organic soldiers within the CRS to prepare them. The Pro Heroes and Huntsman aligned with the CRS began training together to prepare for War. (Y/n)'s family was doing their own preparations. Yor was teaching Luna how to fight hand to hand combat while Eri, Anya and Ahsoka watched. Right now, Luna was panting heavily because she'd never worked out like that before.

"And I thought learning the Force was difficult." Luna comments.

"Your body will adjust to this eventually, Luna." Yor said. "It will take time though."

"Mama and big sis are amazing!" Anya comments.

Ahsoka walks over to Luna and hands her a water bottle which she takes and immediately starts drinking from it.

"You did good." Ahsoka said. "But your training is far from finished."

"I figured as much." Luna said, taking a break from drinking. "I just hope I can be as strong as dad."

"Why's that?" Ahsoka asked.

Luna hesitates and thinks about it.

"He's just... so incredibly strong. I can feel it. All that power and he's able to do great things." Luna said. "Then I look at myself, I haven't achieved nearly as much as he has."

"Don't worry, you'll have your chance to make an impact one of these days just like him." Ahsoka said.

Luna smiles hearing this. Ahsoka's commlink then lights up which results in her grabbing it.

"Commander Tano, it's Nomad." Nomad said on the commlink.

"This is Ahsoka, go ahead." Ahsoka said.

"(Y/n) has returned, he'll be landing soon." Nomad said.

"Thank you for the heads up, Nomad." Ahsoka said with gratitude.

"No problem, Commander." Nomad said before he got off comms.

Ahsoka put her commlink away and turned to the others.

"Well, let's go wait for him." Ahsoka said.

The small group begins to head back into Kuo Kuana and as they do they see how the vibe of everything has changed. Everyone is filled with hope and happiness, almost like they won a War. When they reach the landing zone, they can see a Pelican Dropship coming in for a landing. When it lands, the ramp drops and (Y/n) disembarks. As he walks away from the dropship, it begins to take off and fly away having done its job. (Y/n)'s family moves toward him, and they meet in the middle with him and Yor hugging one another before separating.

"Papa! Was it fun?" Anya asked.

"In a way." (Y/n) answered. "How are things here?"

"The entire CRS is making preparations for War." Ahsoka said. "It's all hands-on deck."

"Good, because once we get a fresh batch of Battle Droids and Troops from the Separatist States, we begin our march." (Y/n) said. "But in the meantime, I want to spend time with my family."

This made his family happy and Ahsoka just smiled.

"Well, have fun." Ahsoka said.

[Coruscant]

Darth Vader walks into Palpatine's office after he was summoned by his master. It was important but he didn't know why. He saw Palpatine sitting in his chair waiting for Vader and once he sees him entering the room he doesn't smile, it appears something is on his mind and its troubling him.

"Lord Vader." Palpatine greets calmly.

Vader kneels before him.

"What is thy biding, master?" Vader asked.

That title brought a sour taste to his mouth. He had begun to not trust Palpatine ever since reuniting with (Y/n). but he needs to keep up appearances in order for his plan to take control of the Empire and rule the galaxy with (Y/n) by his side.

"I've sensed a disturbance in the Force." Palpatine begins. "I have a strong instinct that Darth Seraph will not cooperate with us. His rebellious nature, his desires, his ambitions. They will only harm us and our dominion."

"What shall we do?" Vader asked.

"I want you to return to him, but when the times comes for him to join us and he refuses. You must kill him." Palpatine instructed.

Vader almost clenched his fists hearing this. That was it. The final nail in the coffin. He was right to grow to not trust him. First Palpatine orchestrates the Clone Wars, then assigns Dooku to kill Padme, he uses words to try and manipulate him and now he wants him to kill (Y/n). he's had enough. Once he reunites with (Y/n), he'll try to convince him to come with him back to Coruscant so they can both kill Palpatine together. While he wants to strike now, he wants to be sure he can overpower Palpatine. With (Y/n)'s help, he can succeed in defeating Palpatine. Together they'll be unstoppable.

"It will be done, my master." Vader said.

"Good." Palpatine said, sounding pleased. "You are dismissed."

Vader stands up and walks out of the office.

[Union Academy, Earth]

Henry stood at the edge of Union Academy and looked up at the sky where a large Fleet of United Forces airships were being formed from ships across Union's territory. Troops were also being brought in and amassed in and around the city to defend it from any attacks from the enemy. But Henry was concerned. Sirzechs had mobilized Devils for the battle, and he wasn't sure if the CRS or Separatist States could fight back against that. Though, Michael did help them defeat Khan Alcyon so maybe he and the other Angels will help the Rebellion and the Separatists fight the United Forces. That, however, is a scenario that might not come to life. While it is a possibility, he just can't see it happening for some reason. But he'll be glad to be wrong this time. While The United Forced mobilize, Henry begins to reflect. Everything he ever did was to prevent chaos from claiming more lives. He initially thought that Rebels killed his wife but then he learned that it was Union. Most of his career as Director of the UIB has been a lie and yet he remains on Union's side.

He wants to believe it's so he could deploy Order 12 and bring Union down, but he must face reality. He's clinging to that lie. He fears he doesn't have the guts to deploy Order 12 due to how long he's lived a lie. It's hard to change your life when you've been down one path for so long. But he needs to truly pick a side and if he doesn't, then maybe Union will continue to exist. That's a scenario where the world continues to suffer, which means his son will suffer. That thought alone makes him clench his fists. So, what does he do? His son's safety or keep clinging to that lie? You'd think it would be easy, but it isn't. His sense of purpose is at stake and so is his son. He hates this spot in life he finds himself in. but the only person he has to blame for it all... is himself. He has a choice to make. Union's Side.... Or the CRS's Side? He needs to make a choice because the time for War is quickly approaching and he's running out of time.

"Director." Benjamin said, getting Henry's attention as he walked up to him.

Henry turned to face Benjamin.

"The headmasters want to speak to you." Benjamin said. "It's time to form a defensive strategy."

Henry nods before he sets off back into Union Academy and towards the headmaster's office.

Let me hear those predictions for the Battle of Unity City and for what happens after because after all, Palpatine needs to be brought down

I'm going to take my time with writing it once we get to it as I want it to bring an end to the Union Saga
