Chapter 106: The Mission Part 1

(Y/n) and Henry's joint task force finally arrived at the location where Khan supposedly is located. The UH-70 and Shuttle had touched down and both teams exited the ship, but they needed to wait for the Remnant to arrive. On the trip to Maine, (Y/n) told his team that incase Henry's people turn on them don't be afraid to go for the kill. They may be their allies now, but it's a temporary agreement. While (Y/n) doubts that Henry would instantly attack them once their deal ends, he isn't as trusting towards the Ace Ops. As they waited, the Ace Ops had their eyes to the skies above searching for any sign of the Remnant approaching. As they did this, Henry was talking to Clover about potential tactics to use during the mission. Meanwhile, (Y/n) and his team were off to the side talking amongst themselves. While they talked, Marrow hears helicopter rotors and turned to the sound to sees four Black Hawks approaching them.

"Black Hawks incoming." Marrow announces towards Henry.

Henry stops talking to Clover and looked at Marrow who then points towards the incoming helicopter. (Y/n) notices Marrow pointing and looks at the helicopters. The Black Hawks come down and lands in a clearing in the forest. Once they touch down, the side doors open up and four people exit the first chopper. All of them sporting tactical gear and weapons. (Y/n) and Henry's teams join up while the former and the latter approach the new arrivals. They meet each other in the middle and begin to introduce themselves.

"Captain John MacTavish, Task Force 141." MacTavish introduced. "You can call me Soap."

"Pleasure to meet you, captain." (Y/n) said before holding a handout. "(Y/n) (L/n), Supreme Commander of the Coalition of Rebel Sectors."

"A Rebel leader? Getting his hands dirty?" Soap asked.

"Guess I'm unique." (Y/n) said with a smile. "Who's in your squad?"

Soap briefly looks to each member as he introduces them to (Y/n).

"Captain Price, Ghost and Roach." Soap said.

"And the extra troops?" Henry asked.

"An insurance policy should you turn on us." Soap said, glaring at Henry. "That a problem?"

"Not at all." Henry replies.

"What's the plan of action?" Price asked.

Henry grabs a holographic device and activates it. A holographic layout of the bunker facility appears in front of him.

"There aren't many entrances or exits so we'll need to lock them down to prevent Khan's escape." Henry said. "we'll split up and pick our objectives. (Y/n)'s team will make their way towards the base's war room where Khan will no doubt be. The Ace Ops will make their way to the hanger and sabotage the Black Rose ships."

"What about us?" Ghost asked.

"Since there is more than expected, you can divide your forces and join either my team or (Y/n)'s team in their objectives." Henry said.

"Me and Roach will join the Ace Ops in sabotaging the hanger. Price and Ghost can join (Y/n) on assaulting the war room." Soap said. "The rest of my men will stay topside and guard the main entrance."

"Once we encounter Khan, All Might will challenge him to a fight." (Y/n) adds. "Once that happens, all we can do is lend aid where possible."

"Remember, we are here to kill Khan Alcyon." Henry said as he turned off the holographic device and put it away. "Don't show the enemy any mercy."

(Y/n) then motions for everyone to follow him and they do. Underneath them within the bunker, Khan stood in the war room with Grimshaw. He was in thought while Grimshaw was tossing a knife up into the air repeatedly. Khan needed to recall the Black Rose's remaining members if he wishes to continue what he started all those years ago. He needs manpower if he wants his goals to flourish. He was thinking of ways he could handle this. He knows the Anarchists are former Black Rose so maybe he can contact them and give them coordinates to meet up. Before he could think any further, one of his followers notice something on the cameras at the entrance of the base.

"Sir, I believe we've been found." The Black Rose Follower said.

Khan walked over to them and looked at the screen. He saw the Ace Ops, Task Force 141, (Y/n) and his team as well as Henry. He recognizes (Y/n) but not Henry or the others. Though, he is surprised he was found so quickly, he was sure he would have at least more time to gather his forces before then. Turns out he was wrong, not like it hasn't happened before but still. He's been wrong before, but he was so sure that he had more time. Perhaps Union knew more than he thought. It has been a long time since he was defeated all those years ago. Khan then gets Grimshaw's attention and beckons him over. Once Grimshaw got a look at the screen, Khan spoke.

"I recognize the Rebel Leader, but not the others." Khan informed.

"One of them is the Director of the Union Intelligence Bureau, his name is Henry Louis." Grimshaw revealed as he pointed at Henry on the screen.

"Hm, didn't expect someone of his status to be directly involved in field work." Khan said.

"Henry isn't one to be a coward." Grimshaw reveals. "He's braver than most of Union's top brass. Competent too."

"Threat level?" Khan asked.

"Unknown." Grimshaw answers. "I don't know what his Semblance is."

A Black Rose Soldier then walked over to Khan.

"Sir, I'm not sure if we have the manpower to hold them off." The Soldier said.

"Then we'll make our final stand." Khan said before turning to the follower manning the console. "Open the bunker door for our guests."

"Is that wise?" Grimshaw asked.

"No." Khan answered truthfully. "But if today is our last, then we'll go out on our terms."

Grimshaw said nothing but silently agreed with Khan. On the surface, the Joint Task Force attempts to open the door, but they can't. (Y/n) was about to consider just using the Force to blast it open but before he could, the doors began opening on their own. Task Force 141 aimed their weapons at the opening door while everyone else braced themselves. Once it opened fully and they saw no one behind it, they lowered their weapons.

"Something tells me that Khan is ready for us." Vine said.

"Doesn't matter, we have a job to do." Harriet said.

The group moves into the bunker while the other Remnant Soldiers that came with Task Force 141 remain outside. Once they enter the Bunker, the doors close behind them making them all look at it.

"Well, guess we're stuck inside." Bulat said.

"We're not trapped in here with Khan, he's trapped in here with us." (Y/n) said.

"You all have your objectives, carry them out." Henry said.

The group nods and splits up with Henry leading the Ace Ops, Soap and Roach one way and with (Y/n) leading his team, Ghost and Price the other way. However, they were being watched from the cameras by Khan and Grimshaw.

"I'm going to guess one group is heading for the hanger and the other group is heading here." Grimshaw said.

"It would seem so." Khan said before he turned to Grimshaw. "Head to the Hanger and deal with them. I will handle the rest."

Grimshaw nods before he steps away from the console. Khan remains for a few seconds before moving away from the console.
