"You what?" Roula screamed excitedly on the phone.
"I saw him!" Pauletta whispered, still overwhelmed with a rush of feelings.
"No way!"
"Yes I did! Well I don't know who he was or if the myth is true, but I saw and felt things that were powerful." Pauletta said.
"I'm coming over!" Roula said and hung up the phone.
Not more than fifteen minutes later, Pauletta heard the door bell ring.
"What the hell Roula, you almost broke my ear drum!" Pauletta complained, as she closed the door to her apartment.
Her best friend walked into the apartment and squealed with delight. "Letta I told you that it works, now tell me all about it!" She said, as she hugged her friend tightly.
Pauletta pushed Roula off her and walked to her room.
"Well? Who did you see? Was he handsome? Was he tall?" Roula asked one question after another, not able to wait any longer, as she followed her friend into her bedroom.
"Calm down Roula, it was just a dream!" Pauletta said, realizing now that she made a mistake telling her.
"No it wasn't just a dream, it's was real!" Roula argued.
"No Roula, it was only a dream, and can't be real! Besides koufetta don't have magic powers and reveal the future!"
"You're right, koufetta don't have magic powers on their own, they are just almonds sugar coated candy, but during the liturgy when the priest was blessing the wedding ceremony, the koufetta on the silver tray along with the couples crowns were blessed also, and that's what makes them special." Roula said. "Stop argueing with me and tell me who you saw!"
Pauletta took in a deep breath of inhalation and closed her eyes. The Warriors image was before her and her heart melted at the memory of his lips on hers.
"Please don't keep me in suspense! Do I know this man? Was he at my cousins wedding?" Roula asked, anxious to find out who her friend was going to name.
Opening her eyes, Pauletta said, "No he wasn't, I have no idea who he was, all I know is that when he kissed me, I felt butterflies in my stomach!"
"Maybe it's someone you will meet one day soon, what did he look like?"
"He was tall, dark and handsome, and even had a six pack! The man was all muscle, like he was made of iron steel!" Pauletta voice sounded dreamy.
"Was he naked? How do you know he had a six pack?"
"Because from the waist up he wasn't wearing anything!" Pauletta admitted.
"Was he wearing anything from the waist down?" Her friend asked jokingly.
"He was wearing a kilt," Pauletta said, and watched her friend roll her eyes, "no really, he looked like a Scottish warrior."
"You mean a highlander, like the ones in the stupid books you read?" Roula laughed, "was he surrounded by leprechauns?"
"Stop making fun of me! It was your stupid idea to put these koufetta under my pillow!"
"Yeah I know, but a highlander?" Roula couldn't help but laugh out loud. "I can't wait to see who you see tonight in your dreams, maybe Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt will show up."
Pauletta watched as Roula doubled up with laughter and she removed the koufetta from her pillow.
"Maybe I should just throw these stupid things in the garbage!" She said angrily, "it's obvious you're making fun of me, but I don't blame you. It is silly to believe that they can show me my future husband."
