My Highlander, My Love, Part Three:Forbidden Love, The Greatest Love Story Ever Told.

Gabriel

Alana woke up from her nightmare and saw the massive, white light hovering above her.

"Gabriel," she said in a mere whisper, "what is happening?"

"Get to safety, move as fast as you can, Sterlingshire is about to be attacked!" Gabriel's hoarse thundering voice sent chills up and down Alana's spine.

Jumping out of bed, Alana tried to control the beating of her heart, "Who is going to attack us?"

"The MacNeils, they are only seconds away from burning down Sterlingshire unless your clan moves fast and prevents the disaster!" Gabriel said, and tried his hardest to ignore the pain in his heart. This was the first time he was back since New Year's Day and seeing her again was painful. "You must hide if you want to live!"

"Why do you care what happens to me? You turned your heart to stone and abandoned me and now you think you can come back just like that and order me about?" Alana asked angrily.

"I never left you Alana, I was always with you!" Gabriel said hoarsely.

A single tear rolled down Alana's face, "You left me Gabriel, and I suffered without you!"

The archangel grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her against his muscled chest, "I never meant to hurt you, I care deeply for you, but I am not given a choice. We can never be together in the way you yearn to be, tis not possible!"

The archangel felt Alana's tears glide down his chest and his heart twisted with pain, but he knew that there was no other way, so he harden his heart and pulled her away from him.

"You must hurry and get yourself to safety before it's too late!" Gabriel told her firmly, and Alana looked up into his eyes that sparkled with tears and understood his pain.

It was the hardest thing she ever had to do, taring herself away from him was not easy when all she wanted to do was jump back into his strong arms, but she followed orders and hastily walked away to get to safety when she suddenly realized something.

She was the light of the world, no one can ever kill her or cause her harm. The only kind of pain that could affect her was love. Stopping in her tracks, she whirled around just as Gabriel disappeared into thin air.

He had tricked her! He knows that she wasn't in any kind of danger, he just wanted to hold her in his arms! Her lips curved into a small smile as she made her way to where the rest of the women were hiding. He loves her, of that she was sure of, but how can she get him to admit to her and himself that they were destined to be together?

The archangel watched her leave and his heart twisted with pain. He raised himself to a higher level of frequency so she would not be able to see him, but he was there. He has always been there, unable to make himself leave her, he remained close and kept an eye on her

There were two sets of blue prints for her in the books of life. One set of prints show Alana and him together and in love, and strongly connected as soulmates, but he is sad because he has been cast out of the heavens for turning his back on righteous.

The other set of blue prints reveal another powerful soulmate connection between Alana and the blacksmith. If he stays away from her, she will eventually fall in love with the blacksmith and they will make a powerful soulmate connection.

The choice is Gabriel's, he could choose to be with Alana and ruin both their lives or he could ignore the pain in his heart and allow Alana a chance at happiness without pain. The answer was simple enough, but could he sacrifice the only woman he would ever love, just to save their souls?
