There was chaos everywhere in Fay land, as the Druids looked for their families frantically, without success. They cleaned up the dead bodies, which were all Fairies, the ones that tried to fight back, the others had heeded the monsters warnings and stayed put.
"What happened?" Kalan asked one of the Fairies.
"My king," the beautiful fairy said, and bowed her head, "we were ambushed by the monster's, they outnumbered us five to one, and they carried magic swords with poison and threaten to kill us if we fought them. They took the Druidess's and all the ladies of the court, and when some of the fairies tried to stop them, the monsters used the poison swords on them."
"Did you hear where they might have taken them?"
The Druids huddled closer to the king to hear what the fairy will answer, but the beautiful fairy hesitated before she spoke. "I overheard the leader say they were going to kill them after they were done with them."
"Done with them?" The King asked with a sinking heart.
"Aye, they wanted information about this thing called a Chalice.
Bruce stepped forward, and threaded his fingers through his thick mane of hair, "If they want the chalice, I shall give it to them, it's a small price to pay to get our women back!"
"Nay!" Tristan called out, "after they take the chalice from us they will not keep their end of the bargain and we shall never see our women again!" The idea that Yasmin won't get her chance to drink from the Holy Grail and claim immortality drove him mad with anger. "They will kill our women even if we do give them the chalice, there must be another way!"
"So we let our women die?" Patrick McCane jumped in and asked, "give them what they want and be done with them!"
"That's easy for you to say your soulmate is immortal, many of us including your brother Bruce have mortal soulmate's!" Stephan added, already stressed out by everything that had transpired and all that was yet to come. For this didn't end here, it has only begun!
Patrick turned his attention to Stephan, "It is not easy for me to say anything, do you think my heart does not bleed too? My sisters, my mother and my soulmate have been taken by them, and if we don't give them what they want they will kill our women!"
"They will k...." Stephan stopped himself, but even so, everyone knew what he was going to say.
"Son pray tell, let us know what will happen, do not keep us in the dark!" Michael begged, as fear struck his heart thinking of what may have happened to his wife and his sisters.
"Father you know that the visions can always change."
"Aye, but what have you seen so far, where are they, what have they done with the women? Speak my son, do not keep us in the dark, tis torture to not know what will become of our women!" Michael said hoarsely.
Silence fell in the Fay courtyard as every single Druid and Fay waited for Stephan to speak.
With a sinking heart, Stephan revealed what he knew, "They have been taken to a very dark and cold place, where the sun and the moon doesn't shine on them. Their fate is sealed, even if we give them what they want they will kill them!" Stephan said in a broken tortured voice, "unless we think and act quickly, we will lose our women to death."
"Let me go! I shall find them and kill the evil ones!" Hawk called out from where he was tied like an animal to a giant pole. The Macalisters placed a magic chain around him so he couldn't escape and do harm to himself.
With sad eyes, the king turned and faced his second in command. "Nay My friend, you will stay where you are until you can promise me that you will not harm yourself. I know you carry pain in your heart, as we all do, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel my friend, Nessa will return to you, it's only a matter of time before she get's reborn."
