The Caged Beast

It took fifteen strong men to pull the beast into the dungeon, and when they threw him in his prison cell, the beast looked at each warrior in the eyes as if he was memorizing each individual to mark them for death once and if he escapes. The MacCalister brothers looked at one another with uneasiness, for although they were strong and powerful, they all knew that Blane was stronger, his bloodline was one of the most powerful to ever exist. The only Druid that was stronger than the beast was Stephan, but he chose to make himself disappear during this time, knowing that history must take its course in order for the written word to come to life.

Everyone knew that they had a huge problem on their hands, the beast will inherit all of his iron strength at the stroke of midnight and they placed powerful magic around the cell to keep the beast from escaping. Hawk was the only one besides Stephan that was strong enough to fight the beast, but he was resting in utero until his time to reincarnate.

Cold, steely eyes looked across the iron bars, Blane's memory was slowly returning and he was crazed out of his mind with anger. One had only to look at the way his veins were almost ready to pop right out of his neck when he gritted his teeth, and the way his eyes were hazed with hate to know that danger was upon them. The MacCalisters looked nervously at the beast, they were all thinking the same thing, if Blane ever escaped he would come after them tenfold.

"I think it will be wise to hold a meeting with the McCain's and the McClouds, we need their support, Blane will be back to his old self in no time and he will gain every ounce of his memory back!" Thomas nervously said, "his brothers are probably feeling his return and are planning an attack as we speak I'm sure of it! We don't have much time left, we must hurry and prepare for the worst!"

"Aye brother, regretfully I think you are right, we must decide his fate come morning, I will go and collect the rest. Secure the beast and meet us in the private library!" Michael ordered before he swiftly disappeared.

Heavy magic heavily surrounded the prison cell, and when the MacCalister brothers felt the beast was chained and secured and not an immediate threat to everyone in Sterlingshire, they too left to attend the meeting.

Blane's nostrils flared and his bloody hands curled into fists at his sides as his silver grey eyes watched them walk away. Every cell in his body was on fire and he trembled with rage.

"I will burn your castle to the ground, but not before I run my sword through each and every heart!" Blane swore out loud hoarsely, "I will avenge my sisters death and allow her to rest in peace!"

Asia watched the sun dip into the ocean and pulled away from the French window. "It's is time." She whispered to herself  as she grabbed her wrap and threw it over her head.

Her heart pounded wildly against her chest, she would have to hurry and get to the prison cell in time to watch the guards rotate their posts. It was the only time that she would be able to slip threw them without being noticed.

Making her way to the dungeon, Asia tip toed down the stone steps slowly and cautiously so not to slip and fall. Wrinkling her nose at the awful smell of urine and feces, Asia brought the bottom part of her wrap to her face and covered her nose. Steading herself with her right hand on the damp, stone wall for support, Asia continued down the stairs before anyone caught her and reported her to her parents.

"I'm starving!" She heard one of the guards said.

"You're not the only one!" said the other, "let's go, Cook promised us veal tonight!"

"We just can't leave the beast unguarded, we work a double shift tonight, did you forget? If the MacCalisters catch us away from our posts they will castrate us!"
