Gabriel's light was not vibrating at a high frequency, because he was tortured with thoughts of Alana. He knew his fate and what was coming was unbearable. The archangel needed all his strength to fight off the feelings his heart held for his soulmate, but every passing second was becoming impossible to do so, for loving her was the reason for his entire existence.

He was born to love her, her name was imprinted in his heart and he feared that he would not be able to control himself any longer. He stayed far away from her, watching over Alanna from a higher frequency, so she would not notice him, but it was torture for him and he knew that soon he would break down and give in, for his love for her had reached its peak.

"Help me FATHER," he begged hoarsely, "I don't want to fall from grace!" But even as the archangel said those words, he knew that he was in a hopeless situation, he was given free will and his choice was his alone to make.

Slumping his shoulders, Gabriel's wings wrapped around him and cocooned him. His heart was bleeding and begged to see Alana even if for one more time. Just one more time, before he leaves her forever.

************

Alana felt the marble floor beneath her feet shake, and knew enough to know that the walls were a hairs breath from dropping. So this is it, she thought, this is the end of humanity!

"Gabriel, where are you?" She yelled out loud, as she wrapped her arms around the marble column in the Great Hall to keep herself from falling. She had stayed behind waiting for Gabriel to come to her, wishing against all odds that he may realize what she already knew deep in her heart, that he was her soulmate. "Why have you abandon me!"

************
Gabriel could not hear anything until he came out of his grief. Her cries soaked into his heart and he went still. Closing his eyes, the archangel tried to focus his thoughts so he could find Alana, and when he realized what was happening, he was at her side within seconds.

"Alana!" His voice was hoarse and  his eyes were full of love, "wrap your arms around my neck!" He commanded, as he lifted his soulmate in his arms.

"Gabriel why have  you forsaken me, I suffered without you!"

"I'm here now!" He told her in a tortured tone of voice.

The Druidess was desperate to connect her lips with his, and when she did, the archangel kissed her back passionately not able to hold himself back anymore. At that moment of contact, the dark skies opened up and lightening sliced across the sky, as the clouds clashed against each other and roared angrily.

Gabriel stiffened and pulled his lips away from hers, he knew that they were in a very dangerous situation, but he was weakening by the second. Running up the stairs, the archangel took the Druidess to her chambers, "Danger is lurking behind these walls Alana, collect a few things, I will take you to Fay land where it is safe until everything is under control." He told her, and placed her gently on the bed.

"I'm not going anywhere without you!" The maiden said in a firm and unwavering tone of voice, "I love you Gabriel and I don't care anymore about rules and regulations!"

"You don't know what you are talking about!" Gabriel tried to reason with her, "we are humanities only hope. We must do the right thing or else all is lost!"

Alana was sick and tired of her life, what was the meaning of living if she can't share it with the one she loved, she thought desperately, "and what about us Gabriel," she asked as tears streamed down her lovely face. "I will not live without you again!"
