Ok someone requested Michael and Luke as parents and I honestly can't find their username, so to whom it may concern, thank you for the wonderful idea

"Alright, I put the car seat in the back, and I'm going to go buckle Lilly in. Are you sure you don't want me to take her to daycare today?" Michael asked, picking up the 6-month-old.

"I'm sure, Ive got it." Luke said, and was about to walk out to his car, but realized he forgot his phone.

He ran up the stairs, and grabbed his phone, going through his messages before walking back downstairs to see Michael.

"Have a good day at work, baby. I love you." Michael said, and kissed Luke's forehead.

Luke leaned up and caught Michael's lips in a kiss, staying there for a second.

"Mmm, maybe I should call in sick." He mumbled, pulling on Michael's shirt.

"Maybe you should go to work so we can afford to raise a child." Michael said in a playful tone, making Luke roll his eyes, but crack a smile.

"I will have dinner ready for us though." Michael said, and Luke kissed his cheek one final time before leaving.

He smiled as he stepped into his suv, and turned up the radio.

-

Luke didn't realize he left early for work. He didn't have anything to do, so he stopped at a coffee shop near his office.

He texted Michael as he drank his coffee, and all of a sudden saw a call coming in.

"Hey Mikey." Luke said as soon as he answered.

"Hey, I just got a call from Cathy, the lady that runs Lilly's daycare, and she said she was never checked in, but you were supposed to have dropped her off about fifteen minutes ago. I was just wa-"

Luke dropped his phone of the table, and ran outside to the car.

He saw one window smashed out, two cop cars, and an ambulance surrounding his car.

"Where's Lilly?!" Luke asked, and a bunch of people turned to look at him. "I- I was supposed to drop her off at daycare, but I forgot she w-was in the c-"

"Sir, calm down, she's in the ambulance right now. We called a tow truck for your car, free of charge since we had to smash your window, but we need to take her to the hospital for tests." The paramedic told Luke, so he nodded.

He felt tears falling from his eyes as he ran back into the coffee shop to grab his phone, quickly calling Michael.

"Luke, what's going on?" He asked as soon as the phone was answered.

"I-I left Lilly in the car for half an hour with no air conditioning. I f-forgot, Michael." Luke cried as he held her little hand. She had an Oxygen mask on, and that scared Luke the most.

"Luke! How could you be so stupid!" Michael yelled, and immediately got up, and grabbed his keys.

"I'm so sorry." Luke sobbed, and closed his eyes for a second.

"I'm on my way."

-

Both boys sat in silence as they waited for the doctor. Neither of them had said a word. Neither of them wanted to.

"Lilliana Clifford?" The doctor called, so they both stood up.

"She's stable, and breathing on her own. You boys are lucky. Just a few more minutes, and it would've been too late." He said, causing Luke to hide his face in Michael's shoulder to soak up the tears.

"I'm so sorry, Michael." Luke cried as they walked into the hospital room, seeing their little girl laying there. "She's all I've ever wanted. How could I have been so stupid?" Luke asked, and wiped his eyes as she looked over at him, making grabby hands.

"I'm so sorry, Princess. I love you." He whispered, letting his daughter hold onto his hand.

-

Luke cried as he felt sweat dripping down his face.

How could he leave his kid in the car? She was too small to even make an effort to get out. She didn't understand what was going on, she could only feel pain.

Luke looked at the thermometer and saw it was just about 100 degrees in the car.

He felt like he couldn't breath it was so hot, but this is what he put his baby girl through. It was all his fault.

"Luke?" Michael called as he searched the house, but he wasn't there.

Lilly was just put down for her nap, and Michael wants to talk to Luke.

"Luke!" Michael called, opening the front door, walking out a little.

He looked over and saw Luke sitting in the front seat of his car with his head resting on the wheel.

"Luke!" Michael called, opening the door quickly, feeling heat come out of the car.

"Baby, what are you doing?" Michael asked.

"Go away." Luke muttered, and tried to close the door, but Michael stopped him.

"Luke, you're gonna suffocate in here." Michael said, so Luke looked up a little.

"I locked our daughter in here for thirty minutes. It's only been twenty minutes, and I already feel dizzy, Michael." Luke cried.

"Come inside." Michael said, pulling Luke from the car.

-

Luke walked down to the living room after his shower and saw Michael holding Lilly.

He lightly smiled, and crossed his arms as he sat down.

"You wanna take her?" Michael asked, and Luke shook his head. Michael furrowed his brows in confusion and looked over at Luke.

"You always hold her before we go to bed." Michael said, and Luke shrugged.

"I just think you should hold her." Luke said, and Michael looked at him.

"Okay.." Michael whispered, not wanting to question Luke right now after he just calmed down.

Luke laid on Michael's shoulder, placing his hand on the sleeping baby's back.

"I'm such an awful dad." Luke mumbled.

"Be quiet. You are an amazing dad. You just made a mistake." Michael said.

"Yeah, a mistake that almost killed her!" Luke said, running his hand on the back of Lilly's head.

"But it didn't, Luke." Michael told him. "Hold her." Michael said, so Luke carefully held the baby to his chest.

Michael's arms wrapped around Luke, holding him close as he comfortingly rubbed his leg.

"Stop being angry with yourself. We have both messed up countless times. Remember that time she fell off of the changing table? I was supposed to watch her, but I messed up. We're never gonna be perfect parents, and we may never drink out of Worlds Best Dad mugs, but as long as she knows she is loved unconditionally, I think we've done our job, and I know you love her more than anything in the world. You are the best you can be." Michael whispered, kissing the side of Luke's head.
