Michael smiled as he looked across the library seeing a boy sitting on the floor. His glasses were sitting on his nose and his torn up pink converse were tapping on the ground as he read.

He looked so sweet.

He glanced up and blushed when he saw Michael looking at him. Michael quickly looked back down at his book.

Luke was a little scared. Michael looked intimidating in his all black attire. His piercings and tattoos with colored hair wasn't something Luke was used to seeing a lot.

Luke looked like a princess to Michael. He looked so pretty. He had on a big pastel pink sweater, making his skin look so bright, and he looked so small. He looked absolutely beautiful.

Michael picked up a paper, and smiled as he wrote on it.  Once he was done, he balled it up, throwing it in the blondes direction.

Luke gasped when a paper ball hit him, landing in his lap. He picked it up and looked around, seeing the scary looking guy trying to secretly glance at him.

He opened the paper, and smiled at what he saw.

'I don't mean to bother you, but you look very pretty by the way.'

He's never been called pretty before. He couldn't help the grin that spread across his face. It caused Michael to smile when he saw how happy he made the boy.

Luke pulled his pink pen out of his back pack, and wrote back to Michael.

Before he could send it back, Michael had gotten up and walked over to where Luke was sitting.

"Mind if I sit here?" He asked, and Luke crumbled up the paper, shaking his head no.

Michael smiled and sat on the floor beside Luke. "Keep reading. I don't want to bother you." Michael said, and Luke shyly nodded, secretly scooting a little closer to Michael.

They both read for about 10 more minutes before Luke looked up.

"My name is Luke." He whispered softly.

"I'm Michael." The guy said, and Luke smiled up at him.

"Even though you look a little scary, I think you're pretty too." Luke said, and blushed, matching the color of his sweater.

Michael laughed at him, and Luke smiled, nervously holding his hands in front of him.

He looked down at Michaels hands and saw a book laying in them. "What are you reading?" He asked even though he already knew. He's read it before.

"Oh. I'm rereading the Great Gatsby.." Michael said, and Luke smiled.

"I love that book. Can I read it with you?" He asked, and Michael smiled, and nodded.

He opened it to his page, and Luke laid his head on Michaels shoulder, his eyes drifting along the page.

They sat in complete silence, enjoying each other's company until the book was finished.

"Do you maybe want to come get coffee with me?" Michael asked.

"I would love to." Luke said, smiling.

Michael took his hand in his, setting the book back on the shelf.

They left the library, tangled fingers as they quickly walked against the freezing wind to the coffee shop across the street.

Luke didn't know what he was doing getting this close to someone he had just met, but it felt so right.

He never let people in, but Michael was different.

Michael was special to him.
