Luke squealed with excitement as he watched Michael run down the field at an extremely fast speed, kicking the scoring goal.
"Go Mikey!" He yelled, standing up with the rest of the crowd.
He ran out of the bleachers and onto the fence with the rest of the fans.
"Mikey!" He squealed, jumping into Michaels arms.
"Luke, stop. Not right now." Michael whispered to him, quickly putting him down.
"But you won!" Luke said, trying to hold his hand.
"Look, just let me have time with my friends right now." Michael said, and Luke laughed.
"But im your friend too." He said, and Michael sighed.
"Not like that, Luke. You have my keys. Go sit in the car." He said and walked away from Luke, leaving his boyfriend feeling a little hurt.
Luke slowly walked back to the car, and sighed as he unlocked it, sitting in the passenger seat.
He wanted it to be like the movies where he runs onto the field, and Michael picks him up and kisses him.
All he wanted to do was tell Michael he's proud of him.
He understands Michael wanted to go see his team but he didn't have to be mean about it.
Once Michael sat in the drivers seat, Luke sighed, and looked out of his window.
"What's your problem?" Michael asked with an attitude that Luke didn't appreciate.
"Why are you being such a jerk tonight?" Luke asked, and looked over at Michael.
"What the hell, Luke? I haven't even said anything!" Michael said, and Luke rolled his eyes.
"I went down there to congratulate you and all you did was tell me to leave you alone." Luke said softly, looking back out of his mirror.
"So what? Get over it." Michael mumbled, leaning his head back against the seat at a red light.
"It was embarrassing, and you were being mean. I c-"
"Luke, when I'm around my friends, I don't want you all over me like that. I want some time with them instead of having to pay attention to you every second." Michael said, and Luke's jaw dropped.
"All I wanted to do was tell you I was proud of you, but you just- forget it. Take me home, Michael." Luke said, angrily crossing his arms.
"No. We're going to Calum's house-"
"No we're not. You can. Take me home." Luke said.
"Luke-"
"I have done nothing but show you support. I've gone to every game, and you won't even look at me if your friends are around." Luke said, an angry tear falling from his eye.
"I never asked you to come to my games." Michael said as he pulled into Luke's neighborhood.
"Than I just won't come anymore." Luke whispered, stepping out of Michaels car, quickly slamming the door.
"You act like that's gonna hurt my feelings, sweetheart. Try harder next time!" Michael yelled as he pulled out of Luke driveway.
-
The next day. Luke looked at the clock and sighed seeing it was 7:34.
Michaels game started four minutes ago.
He wanted to send Michael a good luck text, but he was still upset.
Luke sighed and looked down at his feet. He was completely dressed for Michaels game. He had one of Michaels jerseys on and everything.
He put his keys down and walked up the stairs, taking off the jersey and his jeans.
He put a big sweatshirt on and secured a pair of fuzzy socks on his feet.
He slowly crawled into his bed, not really wanting to do anything tonight.
He turned out the lamp and watched whatever movie was on the tv, but he wasn't really paying attention.
-
Luke opened his eyes when he heard his phone ring beside him.
He propped himself up on his elbow and tiredly answered, not caring enough to see who it was.
"Hello?" He asked, his voice still raspy from his nap.
"Babe- can I come in?" Michael asked, and Luke's eyebrows furrowed.
"Michael, I'm in bed.. Not n-"
"That's okay. I still have the key, just... please let me talk to you." Michael said softly.
"Fine." Luke whispered, hanging up the phone.
He sighed, and stood up, opening his door to see Michael walking down the hallway.
"Michael, look-" Luke started, but was cut off when Michael picked him up, hugging him tightly.
"I'm sorry." Michael whispered, pressing Luke's back against the wall.
Michael hugged his body tightly once more before putting him down.
They walked over to Luke's bed, and Luke sat down beside Michael.
"How was the game?" He asked softly.
"We lost but that doesn't matter. I- I'm sorry for how I treated you and how I spoke to you. You deserve so much more than that. You were being sweet and you were happy, and I was such a jerk to you." Michael said, and Luke smiled a little.
"By the way, I kind of need you to come to my next game because you're my good luck charm." He said, making Luke smile bigger, looking down at his hands.
"Come here.." Luke whispered, pulling Michael over to him.
The older boy kissed Luke's lips, gently holding his waist as he laid him down.
He placed one hand on the back of Luke's head, holding him close.
He trailed his lips down Luke's neck, immediately falling into the soft spot that he knew so well.
Luke's eyes closed and his head tilted back as Michael sucked on his skin, definitely leaving a mark that Luke would have to go out of his way to cover up later.
"Luke, I love you, even when I act like a total jerk." Michael told him, looking up for a second.
"I love you too, even when you act like a total jerk." He said, making Michael smile before he kissed Luke's lips again.
