"Luke, get out of the way!" Michael yelled, and Luke whimpered, moving out of Michael's way.
Luke walked over to the couch in the living room, and just sat down, trying to avoid Michael.
Ever since they broke up a month ago, Michael has been so mean to Luke.
Luke looked down at his pink dress as the boys came in. He stayed silent, seeing Michael was with them.
"Luke, get up." Michael said, and Luke looked up, seeing Michael with the Xbox controllers in his hand.
There was only enough room for three people on the couch, and they were all gonna play video games.
Luke quickly stood up, and walked over to the recliner, sitting down.
"Why don't you go cook something. That's the only thing you're good at." Michael said, and Luke looked over, and Ashton noticed the hurt written across Luke's face, but he didn't say anything. The two always argue.
Luke stood up, but before he left, Michael spoke up again. "Finally realize nobody wants you here?"
Luke whimpered, and his eyes filled with tears as he left. His head dropped to face the floor and he could see where his tears hit his dress.
He ran upstairs to his room, and jumped onto his bed, hugging his penguin to his chest as he cried and cried and cried.
-
"Luke?" He heard someone ask, so he wiped his eyes, and sat up, looking over to the door.
He didn't say a word as he saw Michael standing at his door.
He kept his eyes glued to Michael as the older by walked across the room until he was standing beside Luke's bed.
Michael looked at Luke's legs, and smiled. "I remember when you got this scar. It was three months ago and you swore you could jump over the fence, but you ended up cutting your leg and I had to carry you home."
Luke didn't make a move as Michael stuck his hands in his pockets.
"Get away from me..." Luke finally whispered.
"Luke, I'm-"
"No, Michael. You can't come in here and start talking about the times we had when all you've done the past month is make me feel completely worthless." Luke told him.
"Luke, I can explain." Michael said softly.
"Is there really an explanation for you treating me like dirt?" Luke asked, and Michael was at a loss for words.
"I didn't think so, now get out of my room and leave me alone!"
-
Luke didn't understand how he could still love Michael after everything he's been put through. They only broke up because of distance, but now that they're back, Michael has changed.
It was a little past 11 p.m. when Luke slowly pushed Michael's door open, and saw him sitting on the bed with a picture frame in his hands.
"This is still my favorite picture of you." Michael whispered, holding the picture of Luke with a little kitten. "You were so happy that day, and I still remember it. Everyday I try to push you away from me by being a total jackass and hoping I'll actually dislike you one day. I don't know why I'm trying to do that when I still look at this picture every night and fall back in love with you. I can't seem to get rid of it."
Luke sat a few feet away from Michael on the bed, still hesitant to be around him.
Michael sighed and threw the picture frame back on his pillow, laying back on the bed, his hands running over his face.
Luke didn't know what to say. All he was gonna do was come in here and ask Michael to stop being mean to him.
"Michael..." Luke whispered, and saw the older boy wiping his eyes.
"I need you, Luke." Michael whimpered, and Luke smiled a little.
"You've got a weird way of showing it." Luke said, and Michael sat back up.
"No kidding. I can't move on from you if you're gonna walk around in your pretty dresses everyday. It's impossible." Michael said, and Luke smiled a little.
"Does this mean you're gonna stop being mean to me?" Luke asked, and Michael smiled.
"Yeah. I don't know what I was thinking. If I make you cry, it just makes me want to hold you more." Michael whispered.
Luke leaned over and hugged Michael, letting the older boy lay on his shoulder.
"Michael, I don't want you to hurt me anymore." Luke whispered.
"I promise, I can't anymore." Michael whispered, holding Luke tighter.
"We love each other right? There's no use in fighting anymore." Luke said, and Michael smiled, pressing his forehead to Luke's.
"We're gonna work this out."
