Luke smiled as he looked down at the little baby boy laying on his legs. His lips wet trembling and he looked like he was ready to cry.
"Baby, nothing's wrong. You just want attention." Luke laughed, leaning down to kiss the baby's forehead.
He heard a laugh fall from Mason's lips when he pulled away. "See. Nothing's wrong with you." Luke laughed as the baby grabbed onto his nose.
"I'm home!" Michael called from the door.
Luke gasped and smiled at the little boy who looked confused by hearing another voice.
"Guess who's home?" Luke said, looking over as Michael walked in the living room.
The baby squealed and kicked his legs out, excited to see Michael again.
Michael leaned down and kissed both of their foreheads while taking his jacket off.
He sat down and pulled Luke onto his lap, the baby laying on his chest.
"How was work?" Luke asked, laying his head on Michaels shoulder.
"It was good I guess. Nothing special." Michael softly laughed, leaning his head on Luke's.
"I'm tired.." Luke laughed. "...he kept crying today and I have no idea. This is the first time he's been calm."
"Go to sleep sweetheart. You deserve it." Michael whispered.
"No.. no it's okay. You've been at work all day. I can go cook you s-"
"No, Luke. Just go to sleep." Michael told him making Luke smile.
He kept his head on Michaels shoulder, and closed his eyes, allowing his tiredness to take over.
Michael smiled, holding both of his boys close to him, watching as they both drifted off to sleep.
Michael started laughing a little as mason tried nursing on Luke's shirtless chest.
"Babe.." Michael said, making Luke sit up a little.
He looked down and saw what mason was trying to do, giggling a little.
"Poor baby. He's hungry.." Luke laughed, picking him up.
"Hey, don't worry about it, I can feed him if you want to go on up to bed." Michael said.
"It's okay. Come with me though." Luke said, leading Michael to the kitchen.
Michael put one of the bottles in the microwave and looked over at Luke who was laughing, looking down at the baby.
"What's so funny?" Michael asked, walking over to Luke and the baby who was still trying to nurse.
"I dont know. It just feels funny. I remember when I was 15, I wanted to be a mom so bad. Like, an actual mom. I wanted to be able to breast feed my child and actually have one of my own, you know?" Luke laughed.
"Aw baby."
"But I'm a dad, and masons adopted, but there's nothing more I could ask for." Luke smiled.
"I love you, Luke." Michael whispered, pressing his lips to Luke's temple for a few seconds.
"I love you Michael."
