"Mikey!" Luke squeaked, jumping on the couch beside his boyfriend.
"Yeah Luke?" Michael asked, continuing to play halo with calum and Ashton.
"Guess what happened at the store today? I was walking to get pink milk when this really really tall woman, taller than me, came around the corner and honestly she was really intimidating. Anyway she-"
"Luke, really right now?" Ashton asked.
"It's a short story. It'll be over soon." Luke said, and turned back to Michael.
"None of your stories are ever short. You talk non stop." Michael scoffed, and Luke frowned a little.
"I'll just tell you later, it's okay.." Luke whispered, and stood up, leaving the living room.
He looked back into the room and lightly smiled, seeing all of the guys talking about something. He always felt a little left out, but it doesn't really matter. He just wants them to be happy.
"I love Luke to death, he's like a brother, but he's so annoying." Calum laughed, and Luke picked at the stings that were fraying on his jacket sleeve.
"Sometimes I wish he'd go back to when he never talked at all." Ashton said, and Michael looked over at him.
"I love listening to Luke talk. He's really gotten less shy, obviously, and that's great but sometimes he doesn't know when to shut up. When we go to bed he will literally talk until 3 a.m." Michael said, and Luke frowned.
He thought Michael loved the little talks they had. Luke surely loved them. He loved talking to Michael.
He just wasn't going to do it as much anymore.

The entire rest of the week, it's been silent. Too silent for any of them to handle. Little arguments and a lot of bad moods have become a reoccurring thing and it's all because Luke wasn't being the little sunshine that he is, talking and bouncing around the house.
Luke happiness is contagious, but this week they haven't seen any.
Michael kept his eyes on Luke as they all ate breakfast. He kept his mouth shut, only listening and not speaking.
Michael could tell by the look in Luke's eyes that he wanted to say something so bad. He just wouldn't let himself.
"Hey Luke? Can I talk to you?" Michael asked, so Luke nodded, walking up the stairs with Michael.
Once they got to the top, Michael sat on the top stair, patting the spot next to him. Luke sat beside him, holding his knees to his chest.
"Tell me what's wrong." Michael whispered, looking over at the younger boy.
"What are you talking about?" Luke asked.
"You're not talking. You've gone to bed without saying a word and you never come home with stories to tell. I'm just worried about you." Michael said, and Luke looked down at the stairs.
"I heard what you and the guys said. About how I'm always being annoying and how I never shut up. I don't mean to get on your nerves. I just want to talk to you guys. Sometimes I feel like I don't fit in with you guys and I feel left out when you all play video games or something. I thought maybe if I'd just shut up, you guys would like me more." Luke whispered, and Michael shook his head.
"No Luke.." Michael whispered, taking Luke's hand after he used it to wipe away a stray tear.
Luke was so fragile. It hurt Michael.
"Luke, we love you just the way you are. Everything about you is perfect. Even though I don't admit it, and I don't tell you, I love hearing your stories. I might say I don't, but this past week Ive felt so empty without you telling me about your day while we go to sleep. Even Ashton and Calum have noticed how you've changed. Luke, we all miss you." Michael said, and Luke looked up at him.
"You mean it?" Luke asked softly.
"Of course. They asked me to talk to you and see what was happening. They've noticed how you've changed. We all have, and we want the bubbly, adorable, happy Luke back." Michael said, and Luke smiled, kissing Michaels lips softly.
They both stood up, and Luke ran down the stairs to the kitchen.
"Calum, guess what happened yesterday!"
Michael smiled at Luke as he rambled on and on and on, the brightness returning to the youngest boys blue eyes.
