Michael stepped in the house. He had a hard day at work and he was not up to doing anything besides taking a shower and going to sleep.

"Mikey!" Luke giggled, running to give him a hug despite the fact that he smelled like. grease and sweat. Luke didn't care.

"I made us dinner and I sat it all up outside by the pool, and it's really pretty. It's like a date.." Luke smiled, but Michael sighed.

"Luke, not tonight please." Michael whispered.

The smile slowly left Luke's face as he looked down at Michael. "But we haven't done anything together all week. Please?" He whispered.

"I promise, some other day. Today was just really exhausting and I just want to go up to bed." He said.

Luke silently nodded as he watched Michael leave.

"I love you." He called, but he didn't get a response.

Luke sighed as he walked outside, and sat down at the table by himself. He slowly started to eat his dinner, but honestly, he had lost his appetite.

He hasn't gotten a lot of time with Michael recently. He misses him. Ever since he got a new job as a car mechanic, he's always busy or tired. There was no time for Luke.

Luke felt lonely. Even though he got to lay beside Michael every night, he was never held, or even spoken to. It feels like Michael isn't even there. He questions how strong Michael's love for him still is.

Luke felt tears poke at his eyes as he looked at the empty table. It was a little cold and Michael should be putting his jacket over Luke's shoulders right about now. Kissing him on the forehead, and telling him he loves him.

He doesn't want to feel this alone anymore.

He wants it back to the way it used to be when Michael would make him feel like a princess. He would shower him in kisses, tell him he's pretty, hold him until he fell asleep, and send him heart warming texts while on break.

Now Luke was doing more giving than he was receiving. He didn't mind at first, but he needs to be reassured Michael still loves him.

Michael walked down the stairs after his shower, noticing that Luke hadn't come up for bed.

He walked outside and saw Luke with his feet in the pool, and a blanket around his shoulders.

He frowned, looking at everything Luke set up. He had a cute table with flowers. There was cooked food still sitting there, and Luke was never really good at cooking, so Michael knows it took him a lot of work. There was soft music playing, and Michael felt awful.

Luke didn't deserve to spend this night alone.

"Luke?" Michael asked, sitting criss cross beside Luke. "I'm sorry." He whispered, so Luke looked over, shaking his head.

"I get it. You have a job. It's okay," Luke whispered.

"No. It's not okay. I've been so focused on making money to pay the bills, and buy groceries, and get you what you want that I haven't realized all you want is my attention." Michael whispered.

Luke lightly smiled, and locked his hand with Michael's bigger one. He smiled, noticing that Michael's hand looked all calloused and scratched just so Luke's hand could look pretty and manicured.

Michael really does want to give Luke the best.

"I don't need you to buy me everything. I just don't want to feel so alone. I want you to hold me again." Luke whispered.

"Anything for my princess."
