Luke quietly walked into the house, and lightly smiled when he saw Michael sitting at the kitchen table, writing something.
"Michael?" Luke asked softly, trying not to scare him.
Michael turned around, and his eyes widened. He got up and ran to Luke, hugging him tightly.
"Luke, where the hell have you been? You were supposed to be home from your business trip two days ago." Michael cried, still holding onto Luke.
"Michael, I'm sorry. It was awful. I went to the airport the time it gave me, actually I got there 2 hours early just in case, but they said I had missed my flight. They gave me another ticket but I would have to wait another day. I got my phone out to call you, and it was dead. My charger was broken. I didn't have any cash, and when I went to the atm, it declined my card, so I didn't have any money for a pay phone and long distance calls from the airport were $5 but my debit card didn't work. I was gonna get a hotel, but I didn't have any money and I literally had to sleep at the airport and it was the worst." Luke ranted, and Michael looked up, he could tell he was stressed.
"I was just so scared, Luke." Michael told him.
Luke kissed the corner of Michael's mouth, and smiled, laying his head on the older boys shoulder.
"Oh my g- I thought something had happened, Luke! I thought you might've gotten taken, or your plane had crashed, or- anything!" Michael cried, and Luke looked up, holding Michael's head on his shoulder.
"Michael I'm sorry." Luke whispered, running his hand through the back of Michael's hair. He wasn't really used to comforting Michael like this. Luke himself tends to cry more. Usually Michael's doing this part.
Luke tightened his arm around Michaels waist, placing a hand in his neck.
Michaels grip didn't loosen once. He didn't want to let Luke go.
"I'm sorry for scaring you so much." Luke whispered, kissing Michaels temple.
"It's not really your fault. I just- I can't even stand the thought of losing you," Michael whispered, and Luke smiled, pressing his nose against Michael's cheek, staying in the tight embrace.
"I'm home, and I'm staying."
