Michael sighed as he walked into Luke's house. He really didn't wanna be here, but they were having band practice.
"I was kinda hoping you wouldn't show up today." Luke muttered, glancing up at Michael as he turned his guitar.
The last thing Michael wanted to do was argue, so he just sat down, unpacking his guitar.
"Nothing to say?" Luke asked sarcastically, and Michael just rolled his eyes.
"Luke, that's enough." Ashton said softly, but that didn't mean Luke listened.
"Don't tell me what to do. He's not my friend, he's just in the band, I can talk to him however I want." Luke snapped.
"Luke, I'm seriously not in the mood for this today, and I have done nothing to you. Please stop." Michael whispered.
Truth is, he had an awful night and barely got any sleep. His mom and dad were fighting again. They were fighting over him.
Luke just rolled his eyes and looked away.
When all of the amps were finally on, they stood up, getting to their spots.
As Michael stumbled over a cord, causing his hand to fly across the strings, everyone stopped, wandering what had happened.
"Sorry. My hand sli-"
"Of course it's him." Luke said, turning back around.
"Luke, stop, okay? I've h-"
"What are you gonna do if I don't? Run home to mommy and daddy and cry about it?" He asked in a baby voice.
His dad left last night. His parents are divorcing.
"Stop." Michael warned, clenching his jaw. "You say this everyday, and usually I don't care, but this is enough." He said, and Luke laughed.
"What? You know that you're a spoiled brat. Anything you want, your dad pulls out his credit card for. Go cry to him after, and let's just get this over with." Luke spat.
"My dad left last night, asshole." Michael spat, setting down his guitar, running up the stairs.
"You're so stupid, Luke!" Ashton yelled, causing Luke to jump. His eyes widened as Ashton pushed his against the wall, holding him by his shirt.
"I told you he had enough." Ashton sneered, getting ready to hit Luke, but Calum pulled him back. Ashton gets pretty heated when stuff like this happens.
Luke cowered down and felt his eyes fill up with tears. He was scared of Ashton, and now he hated himself for saying that to Michael.
After being yelled at for 5 minutes, Luke finally walked up the stairs.
"Michael?" He asked, finding him in the guest room, sitting on the edge of the bed with his hands pulling at his hair.
"I'm so sorry." Luke whispered as he walked in, shutting the door behind him.
"You didn't know." Michael mumbled.
"That doesn't matter. I should've stopped. I'm so stupid. I never meant to upset you this much." Luke whispered.
He scooted closer, and Michael's eyes widened as Luke laid down on his shoulder.
"I know what it's like. My dad left us after I came out. I was just so mad at you. All of the other guys had split families, but you, you had everything I wanted but couldn't have. And I hated you for that." Luke whispered, letting a tear escape his eye. "I also hated you, because I never thought I was gay until I met you. I immediately wanted you, but I hated you."
"Luke- I- I don't know what to say." Michael said softly.
"Don't say anything at all because I now realize all I've ever wanted wasn't for my dad to come back, it was to be in your arms like this, so just don't say anything."
