Michael lightly smiled and looked at the boy across the street who was sat there picking at the grass or something.
He slowly walked over and stuck his hands in his pockets upon approaching the boy.
Luke looked up, fear filling his eyes as he looked up at Michael who was wearing all black and let his tattoos show.
"Hi, I'm Michael. I think I'm your new neighbor." He said, offering him a warm smile.
"You look scary." Luke whispered, cowering down a little.
"I'm not scary. I just moved here and I'm looking for some friends." He said, and Luke looked up.
"I- I can be your friend." Luke told him, and Michael smiled, sitting down next to Luke.
The blondes fidgety movements and behavior told Michael there was something more to Luke. Something that wasn't normal, but it was beautiful.
"I've never really had a friend before so I'm not sure how to do this." Luke shrugged, his whole attitude towards Michael changing from shy to comfortable.
"That's okay. What are you working on?" Michael asked, resting his arms on his knees.
"Making crowns out of these little flowers." Luke told him.
"I think you will look pretty with one of those on." He said, and Luke's blue eyes brightened, making Michael smile at him.
"For you." Luke said, picking up a crown he had already made, sitting it on top of Michaels head.
"Thank you," he whispered, and watched as Luke sat one on top of his own head.
"Beautiful." Michael said, making Luke's cheeks turn as pink as the flowers in his hair.
"What's your name?" Luke asked him.
"Michael." The older boy told him.
"I'm gonna call you Mikey. My name is Luke by the way." Luke said, so Michael nodded.
"You have a very pretty name." Michael told him, causing him to smile once again.
Luke scooted over, sitting close to Michael. "You do too. You're not so scary anymore," he whispered, placing a pile of flowers in Michaels lap before telling him;
"Help me make more crowns. You look cute with flowers in your hair."
