Luke has ice powers and Michael has fire powers.
-
Luke sat at the kitchen table, his head on the counter, his hands balled in fists.
"Sit up and let's talk about it." Michael said calmly from the other side of the kitchen.
"No." Luke muttered, feeling his hands shake a little.
"Why were you dancing on another guy, Luke? I don't care if you were dancing with him, but you guys were pretty much having sex with your clothes on out there!" Michael yelled.
Luke exhaled from his nose harshly, feeling the icy breath against his chin.
"I don't want to talk about it." Luke mumbled, knowing if he let his anger build up anymore than he would explode.
"Well, we're gonna talk about it because I'm pissed!" Michael yelled and Luke looked up.
Michael looked into Luke's light grey eyes and watched as his hair turned a new shade of icy blonde. It looked almost white to Michael, and he knew he was getting angry.
"Luke, calm down." Michael said softly, knowing Luke's urge to use his ice power was increasing. When he got mad, it was hard to control.
"How can I calm down where you sitting there accusing me of being all over some guy when that didn't even happen like that!" Luke yelled, and Michael could see the breath coming from Luke's mouth.
"What the hell do you mean it didn't happen when I saw it right in front of me!" Michael yelled, his eyes changing to dark red.
"Are you blind, Michael?! I wasn't d-"
"Im not blind, but you're a damn whore!" Michael yelled and his eyes widened when Luke gripped the counter, freezing the area around him.
"I hate you, oh my g-" Luke started but Michael grabbed his arm, causing the blonde boy to jump back in pain.
He winced and looked down to see the red burn mark where Michaels hand was.
Luke looked up and Michael watched as tears fell, slowly freezing as they went down Luke's face.
"Michael, you know not to touch me where you're mad." He said, and Michael looked down in complete shame for hurting Luke.
"I didn't realize I was getting that hot." He said softly, watching as a flame appeared and disappeared from his hand.
He ran his hand over the counter, unfreezing the area Luke already touched.
He looked up and noticed Luke was still crying as he gently pressed his freezing hand to the burn.
"Baby I'm s-"
"I don't know what hurts more... you burning me, or you calling me a whore." Luke said softly, and Michael watched as he hovered his hand, cooling the burn a little less.
"Luke I'm-"
"I just wanted to have fun, but you were talking to somebody else the whole time. I shouldn't have danced with another guy, but I just felt lonely." Luke whispered, and more tears fell from his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Luke. I should've given you more attention. You deserve it. And you're not a whore, I don't know why I thought it was okay to say that." Michael whispered, walking closer to Luke.
He stepped closer, the warmth from his body was calming Luke down and the coolness from Luke did the same for Michael.
As they both gradually calmed down to a normal state, Michael could finally hug Luke without hurting him.
"I love you, you know?" Michael whispered, burying his face in Luke's hair.
"I know. I love you too." Luke whispered.
"I'm sorry I burned you. I didn't think I was that angry." Michael told him.
"I know. I forgive you. You didn't do it on purpose." Luke whispered.
Michael ran a thumb over Luke's cheeks and caused the tear tracks to unfreeze and fall to the ground.
He hesitantly pressed his lips to Luke's, afraid they would be too hot, but Luke's temperature mixed perfectly with his, a warm sensation between them.
They pulled back and Michael held Luke to his shoulder, still hugging him tightly.
They were complete opposites, but somehow they worked perfectly.
