A/n: Okay so before you go hating on me, I just want to say a couple of things. First, I know that I said I would be doing some other stories before making a sequel series, but I want to do some other ideas and I figured that I might as well make it a happy ending. Second, my birthday is tomorrow, so I figured I might as well give you guys a 'present' for being so supportive <3.

Tony: You had been in South Korea ever since you left Tony. You tried to stay out of the spotlight for as long as you could, but eventually, the press found you. Currently, you were walking out of a restaurant that one of your newest friends, Aurora, had taken you.

"Y/n, why did you leave Tony?" a reporter called out to you.

"Y/n, how are you dealing with all the hate that you've been receiving since your breakup." another asks.

"Y/n, over here. Could you respond to what the Avengers have been saying about you?" one shouts.

You hold your hand in front of your face, trying to escape the constant questions. You missed Tony more than anything before, and the press bombarding you with questions wasn't helping. Looking down, you weave through people. You don't notice when you run straight into a man. You mumble a few words of apology, but the man pries your hand away from your face.

"Y/n, My Iron Woman, my future wife, my one and only, please come back to me," the man says tilting you head up so that you meet eye contact with him.

You see Tony standing there in a suit. You know that even though he looks fine, inside he is a mess. Your eyes linger on his tired face, in awe.

"Please Y/n. You are might light at the edge of the darkness. You are the happiness in my sorrow."

"Tony." You say looking around you. You didn't want to have this conversation in front of everyone. You didn't want to have it as the world looks on.

"Room number 64 in the Firewater Hotel, Whearest Drive. It's five minutes from here. Smack me and then head there. I got the press." He whispers to you.

"Why would I smack you?" you ask

"To make it realistic. Come on, this will be the only time that you will be able to see it."

"Okay, If you say so," You say. You bring your hand out, smacking him as hard as you would. You run to a nearby Taxi and ask her to bring you to the Hotel, not exactly sure what Tony was going to say to make this better.

"So why exactly am I here?" you ask him as you take off your heels.

"Y/n, we both know why you are here. I'm sorry that you felt like you couldn't talk to me. I'm sorry that I didn't notice that you weren't okay. I'm sorry that I ordered you around. I'm sorry that you felt more like a robot than Jarvis. I know I'm an idiot" he says turning to you.

"That's it, just an idiot?"

"No, a stupid, idiotic, dumb, and whatever adjective you want to use person"

"Look, Tony, just say three words and I'm there," you say lying down on the cards.

"Umm...we have cookies?"

"I was thinking of I Love you, but cookies are pretty nice"

"Why would I tell you something that you already know? Let's go home and eat those cookies"

"Let's"

Steve:

Thirty minutes after Steve had left, you had an angry 96 year old on your doorstep. You wiped a few tears away before opening the door. He looked at you before sighing and shaking his head.

"You know, I knew this day would come, but I never thought that it would come so soon." He says looking at you.

"Look Bucky" you start, looking at the floor.

"No y/n me first. Peggy is not you. Peggy will never compare to how much Steve loves you. Yes, he is a punk, but he is not delusional. He knows that you are the perfect one for him. He only wants to keep you safe. He doesn't want to be like Peggy when he 'died'. You need to remember that he is a man out of time. Back then, there were two choices: Housewife and Rebel. Just talk to him please." He begs.

"Okay, I will. Where is he?"

"Where he usually goes. The training room" You look at him gratefully before running to the training room.

You open the door silently, hearing loud thumps. You walk over to Steve trying not to make a sound. You can see that even from here, that he looks awful. His hair is messy and his fists are bloody. You can't help feeling that this is your fault.

"Y/n," he says when the punching bag goes flying off, sand pouring out of it.

"Steve, can we talk?" you ask quietly.

"About what?" he says, hanging another punching bag on the hook.

"About why we are like this. I want us to go back to normal"

"It doesn't work like that," he says punching the bag.

"I know that. Please just tell me why you don't want me to go on missions"

"Because y/n," he says turning to you, "I don't want to lose you" you see that his eyes are pale and red around the edges.

"Steve,"

"Y/n, you are the best thing in my life, and I can't lose the way Peggy lost me."

"Steve, that's what life is. It's a constant battle between good and evil. Life and death. We can't spend our lives fearing the unknown."

"I know, I know" he sighs.

"And Peggy?"

"Peggy was my first love. She was the first one who actually accepted me for who I am. However, It was never going to work. You, however, are different and I would never change that for anything. You didn't care that I'm an Avenger. You are this amazing woman that I love and cherish forever. Y/n, you are my true love, no matter what people say." He looks at you, as you watch the ground going over his words in your head.

"I love you Soldier"

"I love you too"
