A/n: In case you don't know what Bon Jovi is ^^^. Also, the story was supposed to have Bon Jovi in it, but my idea changed so...sorry XD

You were walking back to your school, waiting for the day to be over. You were part of the National Junior Honors Society, NJHS for short, and apparently, that meant being a mail person for the people working at the front desk. It didn't help that Alex, your ex, was partnered up with you. You hadn't made any conversations with him, but that hadn't stopped him from trying to talk to you.

"So have you always had that?" Alex asked pointing to a fairly large scar on your hand.

"No." You say through gritted teeth, "I got it in a car accident."

"That's tough. When was the car accident? Were you hurt?" He asks trying to pry information out of you.

"'08. Yes, and can we please stop talking about it" You say, tears beginning to form in your eyes. None of your family members were killed, but it was definitely a traumatic experience for any kid especially one in kindergarten. You had flipped three times into the woods and the car was totaled. Your brother and sister only had to go to the hospital for 24 hours where you were in for three weeks. You had a severely bruised liver and a minor concussion, but other than that you were fine.

"Yeah sure. I mean I would have liked to talk about my car accident if I got in one. Was it scary? Do you have PTSD?" He continues to ask questions.

"Yes, no. I really don't want to talk about it." You say the tears threatening to fall down.

You were at the school entrance by now, and you quickly rushed in. You walked as fast as you could to the front office to drop off the mail. You set it down, grab your lunch box, and rush out, leaving Alex to trail behind you.

"So new topic...Did you see how amazing I was at soccer yesterday at PE?" He asks. You roll your eyes as your tears disappear as soon as they came.

"Seriously I was the whole team." He continues to brag as you walked closer to your locker to put your lunch box away.

"I remember you losing 3-0 to us" You snap back at him, slamming your locker. You run to your next class so that you didn't miss anything big. It didn't matter how much you missed, though. You were good friends with the teacher, but you couldn't stand talking to Alex any longer.

You quickly push open the door, only to be met with a new teacher. You look at your friend who shrugs. Sitting down next to her, you put your books on the floor.

"Who is this red-head?" You ask your best friend, Karrie.

"Apparently, Ms. Greene is busy so she's our sub." Your friend fills you in.

"Today, we will be learning about how to balance the letter x. I know for some of you this may be a review, but your teacher doesn't want you to learn anything new at the moment." The red-head explains. Finally, Alex saunters back into the room, not even sparing a glance at the new teacher.

"Thank you for joining us, Mr. Rodriguez. I believe you must hand me your tracking card for being late." She says extending her hand toward him.

"Why do you need it?" He asks rolling his eyes.

"Tardiness and disrespectfulness." She says after he finishes.

"I'm not even late." He complains, giving her his tracking card.

"Ms. l/n was able to get her ten minutes before you. So unless you have a good excuse you are late" She says, turning away and walking back to the board.

"So as I was saying before, we are balancing x. So for the first problem, what does x equal in the equation the difference of 475 and one hundred divided by x equals 25." she continues
