Harry held my hand the whole way back to the VIP area, where everyone else had been somewhat patiently waiting...

I tried to keep myself contained, but my body nearly hummed with thoughts of the coming week. A whole week. With Harry. Alone. Seven days. Just the two of us. In a big house. With a pool.

Images of Harry lounging beside the pool filled my mind, the reflection of the sun off the water dancing along his tanned skin, the way his shorts would hang loose on his hips, especially when they got wet...

God, help me...

"Took you long enough!" Ripping me from my mental eye-candy moment, Gemma raised her brows as we came closer. "What did you do, walk home to use your own bathroom?"

My face flamed as all heads turned to see us standing there, hand in hand. "Um..."

"Oh, please. Like you aren't the queen of taking forever in the bathroom?" Harry teased his sister, thankfully coming to my aid as I frantically searched for a viable reason why we'd been missing for so long.

"Uh huh... Well, you missed Louis and Eleanor. They had to go, but they said they both loved you, and they wished you a happy birthday."

"Oh, okay..." I couldn't help the disappointment that I felt, knowing I'd missed saying goodbye to my friends. "Well, it is getting late... Do you think we should all get going?" I turned to Harry for his opinion.

He simply smiled down at me. "It's up to you, Lee. This is your party."

"Um..."

"Wait!" Ed walked toward me, a sweet smile on his face. "I want to dance with the birthday girl before we go." And before I knew it, we were all heading to the dance floor yet again.

The music pulsed around us as we got closer, and I seriously began to wonder how we'd be able to really dance to this... There was just no way to dance, well...really dance, to Pit Bull blasting through the speakers.

"I'll be right back!" Ed, yelled close to my ear before heading for the DJ.

A few moments later, the music came to an abrupt halt. Grumbling, groaning, and a chorus of "What the fuck?" filled the air. I bit down on my bottom lip, concerned over the crowd's response. It was obvious that Ed had asked them to change the song so we could dance, but with this being a club, the people around us didn't seem too inclined to enjoy a break from the rapid beat.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we'll be getting back to the good stuff here shortly, but I just got a special request from our dear friend Ed Sheeran, so we're gonna slow it down a bit." He paused, giving the numerous drunken brains a minute to comprehend everything he'd just said. "So, this one goes out to all the lovers in the club tonight, along with a very special birthday girl..."

A few more seconds passed as Ed came walking back over, a giant grin on his face.

Raising a brow at him, I laughed. "What did you do...?"

"Nothing. Just made a special request for a beautiful lady in red..." The music began to play, and with a gentle smile, he took my hand and bowed in front of me. "May I have this dance?"

"I thought you'd never ask." Giggling at his choice, I let him pull me further onto the dance floor, leading me in a gentle sway...

🎶"I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight. I've never seen you shine so bright.

I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance. They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance. I have never seen that dress you're wearing, or the highlights in your hair that catch your eyes. I have been blind...

Lady in red... Is dancing with me, cheek to cheek. There's nobody here. It's just you and me. It's where I want to be. But I hardly know...this beauty by my side. I'll never forget the way you look tonight."🎶

He led nearly like a professional would, even spinning me out a few times during the song.

"Eddie, where did you learn to dance like this?!? You're amazing!"

He laughed into my ear. "Hey, you watch enough romantic comedies, you pick up a few moves..." At my continued laughter, he added, "Plus, it helps when you have such a trusting partner."

Looking up at him, I shook my head. "Yeah, I don't think that has a lot to do with it... I trust Harry with my life, but the man still can't dance for anything..."

Before I could even laugh at my own joke, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Um... Mind if I cut in?"

The two of us turned our heads to see Harry standing there, a nervous and almost pained look on his face.

I instantly felt bad for commenting on Harry's lack of dance skills. Though I was right about him not being a big dancer, aside from the crazy stuff he did on stage, I didn't look down on him for it. Not at all.

But, before I could apologize, Ed pressed a kiss to my cheek, and turned me toward Harry. "Take good care of her..."

Harry nodded solemnly, "I will." And as he took me into his arms, I couldn't shake the feeling that they'd been discussing much more than just dancing...

His feet barely moved, and where Ed had been confident, calm, and controlled, Harry seemed to struggle, shaking his head at himself more than once.

"I'm sorry I'm such rubbish at this..."

I wrapped my arms around his waist, and rested my head on his chest. "You're not rubbish, Harry. This is perfect."

🎶"I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight. I've never seen you shine so bright. You were amazing.

I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side; and when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away.

And I have never had such a feeling, such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight..."🎶

Our bodies gently swaying to the music, the world around us forgotten, I nearly sighed as Harry's soft, raspy voice joined in...

🎶"Lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek. There's nobody here. It's just you and me. It's where I want to be. But I hardly know...this beauty by my side... I'll never forget the way you look tonight.

I never will forget the way you look tonight... The lady in red... The lady in red... The lady in red...

My lady in...red.

I love you..."🎶

And with the final words emerging from his mouth in a near whisper, he gently lifted my head, placing his lips against mine.

His kiss was soft, sweet, and filled with all the emotion the song had invoked.

It was as I'd said...

Perfect.

Note: Once again, I'd like to encourage you all to listen to (at least once), "Lady In Red" by Chris de Burgh. It's an oldie, but a goodie!! And I found it very fitting for Harry and Riley!! I hope you're all having a great weekend, and Happy Father's Day to all the great dads out there!!! ❤️
