The kids plopping down on the grass around Conan, worn out from the games they'd been playing. Today was comfortably warm, a gentle breeze tickling his face. He looked over to the shade of the trees. Rin silently dozed off in the grass, and Haibara read a book beside her. The fact that she was comfortable enough to close her eyes in the park meant she was finally settling again.

Conan stepped past the kids and approached the girls. Haibara looked up from her book for a moment, but didn't say a word. He settled on the grass beside Rin. She stirred and squinted over at him. "You guys done?" She asked, her words slow from sleep.

"Yeah, everyone's resting right now." He replied.

"Okay." She hummed. Her eyes drifted closed again.

He smiled as she once again settled into a light sleep. As he watched her rest, warmth filled his chest. The more time that passed, the more he desperately wanted to tell her his feelings. However, he knew now wasn't the time. Plus, he wanted to say those words to her, face to face, in his own voice.

Her phone rang, and she lurched awake. She hesitated for a moment, before pulling a phone out of her bag. She checked the number, before grabbing her voice changing hairbow. She held it to her lips and answered. "Did you get it?" Her original voice hummed through the little speakers.

Conan couldn't hear the other side of the conversation, but her expression was serious.

"Okay." She nodded even though the other person couldn't see her. "Yeah, that makes sense." She paused. "I appreciate your help... Oh, well, I'll call you later about that. Thanks again." She hung up and returned the phone and bow to her bag.

"What was that about?"

"I asked my friend if he could get ahold of the footage from the bank. I was hoping we could see who saved you." She groaned

"I'm guessing he didn't have any luck?"

"None. Apparently, he'd need physical access to the bank to get the footage." She grumbled.

Despite the bad news, he couldn't help but smile at her frustrated pout. "Don't worry about it. Even if we did have the footage, there's no guarantee we'd find them."

"That whole bank robbery was a pain from start to finish." She huffed.

"Yeah, it was really frightening." Mitsuhiko piped in, having heard their conversation.

"You know, I saw somebody I knew in that bank..." Ayumi mused.

Haibara lowered her book. "Really? Who?"

"A man who was on that bus we were on that got hijacked!"

Conan's eyebrows furrowed.

"Oh, that guy with the narrow eyes, right?" Genta asked.

"Yeah, he had a burn mark on his cheek." Mitsuhiko recalled.

"None of the bus passengers had a burn mark." Rin protested.

Ayumi shook her head. "Oh, he didn't have the burn mark then and he was wearing a black knit hat."

Rin tensed. "Wait, the guy with the dark eyes and cough mask?"

"Yeah!" Genta nodded.

"You're sure you saw him?" Conan urged.

"Yup!" Mitsuhiko nodded. "He left really quickly though."

Conan glanced at Rin, and knew she'd come to the same realization.
