I have a wedding to attend this week, so this chapter doesn't go into anything crazy.
This chapter mostly goes over plot details that for some reason all happened really fast XD

"How are you feeling today?" Ran asked, as she replaced the wilted flowers on your windowsill with a fresh bouquet.
"I'm feeling pretty good." You smiled. "How's Conan?"
She checked her watch. "He should be on his way over. Dr. Agasa said he'd pick him up after school."
"That's good."
"I know you wanted to see him, but he has school, and you need rest."
"I understand."
"The doctor said you're doing well in physical therapy." Ran changed the subject.
You sighed. "Have they said anything about when I can get out of here?"
Ran smiled sadly. "It's going to take time for you to heal."
"I know. I was just wondering if I could go home soon." You pouted.
"I'll talk to them before I leave."
You groaned and dropped your head back on the pillows. "I'm so bored." You whined.
"Pushing yourself isn't going to make you heal any faster." Conan stated, as he entered the room. His arm was still in a cast, but he was allowed to move about. You glowered down at your still elevated leg.
"Oh, Conan, how was school?" Ran chirped.
"The same old." He shrugged. He looked over at you, and his expression seemed to soften. "You seem to be doing better."
"You say that, but I'm still stuck in this stupid bed." You groaned.
"I mean your eyes. You look more like yourself today."
"Stop saying weird things." You mumbled, a faint blush dusting your cheeks.
"I've got to meet with Sonoko." Ran stated, as she again glanced at her watch. "Remember to wait here until I come pick you up, Conan." She added.
"Okay!" Conan chirped. She picked up her bag and headed out.
"It's been two weeks since we've gotten to have a serious conversation. Anything interesting happen?" You asked, eager for anything to entertain you.
Conan glanced towards the door, before he sat down beside you. "Let me think... Oh yeah, last time I was here we were on our way to Nagano for that case. It turns out Hattori was on the same case, but for a different client."
You smirked. "I bet you both were excited."
"What're you talking about?" Conan muttered.
"Don't get embarrassed. I think your little bromance is adorable~" You hummed. "Judo and Kendo, the dynamic duo. Watching the two of you ping back and forth is an absolute joy."
Embarrassment dusted his cheeks. "Um... anyways. We met a Nagano detective named Yamato. He's this rough looking guy with one eye. He's got a pretty harsh personality, but he's actually a competent detective." Conan started.
"Oh, that's high praise coming from you." You chuckled. "What kind of case was it?"
"It looked like an interesting family blood feud but turns out it was just about money."
"It usually is." You sighed, before a smirk worked its way onto your lips. "Let me guess, you and Kendo confronted the killer in the usual theatrical manor."
