~Nightmare Steve's POV~

It's over... I destroyed the Rainbow Town, and it's never going to be fixed... all that's left is a huge crater where the town used to be.

Sabre's never going to believe me now, seeing as I destroyed everything he's worked towards again. It wasn't my fault though, Elemental Steve made me do it. Sabre won't know that though, because I can't tell him. If I do tell him, I'd be killed.

That's why I've been obeying what Elemental Steve has been telling me to do. I don't want to die, but I don't want to hurt Sabre. Truth is, I love Sabre.

"He'll never love you," Elemental Steve retorted, and I bite my lip.

"I know, sir," I say softly.

"So give up on him. Make him regret not ever going to be able to love you, my minion," Elemental Steve grins evilly, making me hate what I have to do more.

"Can you feel it?" I ask the air, seeing nobody is near me. Or so I thought. "There's a shadow over this town. We try to shake it but it keeps on coming back around."

I look at the deepest part of the destruction. Where Rainbow Steve was before he was teleported away.

"The devil's in disguise, gonna make you choose a side."

"You're going to let me make myself out like the good guy, understood?" Elemental Steve asks me, stepping closer.

"Yes sir," I say softly.

"Remember, you want to make Sabre's life a living hell. Torture him, tear his friends away from him; whatever it takes. Do it until he breaks."

"What happens if I do?" I gulp, and he pins me against the wall roughly.

"Let's just say someone will end up dead, and it sure isn't going to be me."

I shutter from the memory, looking up into the sky. "Strip me down and lay me bare."

Another voice appears behind me, so similar and soothing. "Cross your fingers, something's there."

I turn around, finding Sabre standing behind me. I blush faintly from it. "Can't see what's underneath," Sabre sings softly.

"The darkness runs to deep. I just keep on hoping it's not too late for me," I whisper the last part, looking at Sabre.

He takes a step towards me, and I don't make any effort to move. "I wanna be a hero but the villain's having more fun."

"Which one of us will wear the bigger bruises when the war's done?" Sabre asks me, and I shake my head, not knowing.

"There is no wrong or right when you're fighting for your life," I whisper softly, Sabre clearly hearing me though. He tilts his head in confusion, stepping closer though. "I wanna be a hero."

"but the villain's having more fun."

"Sabre?" I ask quietly, not even caring anymore. I don't care if I lose my life because of this, I need to tell him.

"Yeah?"

"I love you."

He blushes, stepping forward and kissing me passionately. I blush as well, kissing back. We pull back after roughly five seconds, and I blush softly. "I love you too, Nighty," Sabre mumbles, making my heart flutter in joy.

"I'm guessing it's not too late for me?" I ask, and he nods.
