All of a sudden, I heard yelling coming from... well, I don't really know where it came from. It was kind of faint. It wasn't from downstairs. It seemed to be coming from... Luke's room? I opened my door and saw Calum and Ashton standing downstairs worriedly. They weren't the ones yelling. It was Luke. Luke's door was closed and all you could hear was yelling as if he was talking to someone on the phone. I said to Calum and Ash and I ran down the stairs, "What the heck is going on?!" Calum responded, "It's Luke. We think he's fighting with Selena on the phone." They both looked so worried. I could now hear clearly what Luke was saying in his room on the phone. It was loud and he sounded really angry. I've never EVER heard him yell this loud.

Luke: THEN WHAT WAS ALL THAT ABOUT!?!

Luke: OH, REALLY?!? SO YOU CAN MAKE OUT WITH HIGH SCHOOL FRIENDS?!?

Luke: WELL, SELENA, IT'S A LITTLE TOO LATE FOR THAT!

Luke: NO, DON'T START APOLOGIZING NOW! IT'S TOO LATE!

Luke: SELENA, YOU *bleep*ing MADE OUT WITH HIM! THOSE PHOTOS DID NOT LOOK FAKE!

Luke: OH, JUST STOP IT, SELENA!

Luke: WELL EXCUSE ME IF I THOUGHT YOU WERE A TRUSTWORTHY GIRLFRIEND! BUT NOT ANYMORE! WE ARE OVER!

Luke: NO, MY DECISION IS MADE! YOU BROUGHT THIS ON YOURSELF, SELENA!

Luke: OH, DON'T BABE ME! I'M SORRY, BUT THIS IS NOT GOING TO WORK ANYMORE! WE'RE THROUGH!

Luke: ENOUGH! GOODBYE!

I think Luke hung up after that. I had a huge pit in my stomach. Did Luke and Selena really just break up? This is terrible! I loved Selena! But Luke... Oh, my gosh. I hope he's okay. If I'm right, I think Luke discovered Selena was cheating on him or something like that. I'm not sure. I just hope he's okay. It was silent for a moment before Luke opened his door. Calum, Ash, and I all sat down on the couch immediately and turned on the TV as if we were acting normal. Luke came downstairs and Ash said, "Oh, hey, Luke. Everything, uh, alright?" And for some reason, shockingly, Luke said in the calmest, gentlest, nicest voice ever, "Yeah, everything's fine. I'm feeling good as ever." He was smiling and I was totally confused. I looked at Calum confused and he looked at me confused too. Then Calum said, "Uh, is everything okay between you and Selena?"

Luke: Oh, it wasn't working so I had to break it off with her.

Nicole: But, Luke! You seem happy as ever! We just heard you yelling like crazy up in your room!

Calum: Nicole!

Luke: Oh, yeah, you heard all that, huh? Well everything's alright now. I mean, now that Selena is out of my life, I can continue on freely and happily.

Nicole: No... Way.

Luke: Oh, and I guess I owe you an apology, Nicole.

Nicole: Why's that?

Luke: Well I guess breaking up with Selena did kind of break your friendship with her too. I mean, I think it'd be kind of odd hanging out with my ex.

Nicole: Yeah, well I guess you're forgiven. But I just don't understand. A second ago, you were all angry and vicious with Selena on the phone and now you're all happy-go-lucky? I mean, how do you deal with a break up like that?

Luke: Well I guess the thing is, I broke up with her. She didn't break up with me. Maybe that's the reason.

Nicole: I can't even believe it.
