Chapter 111

Soon enough, we had dinner and then I had to go to sleep. I begged Calum to let me stay up longer but he just wouldn't budge. So eventually, I went upstairs, brushed my teeth and changed into my PJs before going to sleep.

THE NEXT DAY
8:10 AM

I woke up and did everything was supposed to. I changed into a cute outfit and changed into something that will keep me warm outside. Not that I'm gonna be going outside. I just thought it would be good to wear for the theme of cold weather. Anyway, I ate my breakfast and went back up to my room to text Jessica.

Nicole: Hey Jessica ! It's Sunday! tomorrow we have school 😢

Jessica: (5 minutes later) Hey Nicole! and yeah! boo hoo. I wish school never even existed

Nicole: yeah but our teachers say we need our ✌education✌

Jessica: Psh! who needs education? personally I think school should end at grade 9

Nicole: why?

Jessica: idk

Nicole: oh ok.

Jessica: so what's new?

Nicole: nothing much. everybody's being themselves

Jessica: same with me. I guess there's nothing really 2 talk about

Nicole: yeah we usually have something 2 talk about but I guess not 2day. I knew this day would come 😢

Jessica: me 2 😢 I guess we should just leave then.

Nicole: yeah I guess. so... bye

Jessica: bye...

I turned off my iPod and felt weird inside. Wow, it's not usually like this with Jessica and I. We always have something to talk about and today we don't. And if we have nothing to talk about then we can't really talk at all. Thats why we ended the conversation. Wow. 😐 I feel so empty inside. Now what do I do? I'll just go downstairs and talk to somebody. I went downstairs and saw Ash and Calum on the couch playing Go Fish. Wow, losers. Wait, why has everything gotten so boring around here? I mean, Jessica and I couldn't talk because we had nothing to talk about and now Ashton and Calum are playing a card game that boring old people play! (No offence to any old people.) And come to think of it, my outfit is even quite boring. I mean, a beige shirt and normal jeans? WHO WEARS BEIGE?! I had to stop this madness. I said to them, "Guys, why are you playing that game? It's so boring."

Ash: Well we already played chess so we had to switch games.

Nicole: Chess? Oh, my god, it really is getting boring now!

Calum: What do you mean?

Nicole: Well I was recently texting Jessica and we had absolutely nothing to talk about. Then I came downstairs and saw you two playing a stupid old boring game. This is so weird.

Ash: Well I guess you could say its a blue day.

Nicole: Why? It's cloudy and foggy outside. It's not blue.

Ash: No, no, no. Not like blue skies. Like a blue feeling. I mean, everybody isn't really in the mood for anything.

Nicole: Well we should be. Why don't we go out?

Calum: Out?

Nicole: Yes. Out. Like, to somewhere fun. Maybe bowling or skating or something! I don't want it to be a blue day!

*Pause*

Ash+Calum: (Laughs)

Nicole: Why are you guys laughing?

Calum: Well it's just so cute how you wanna make everybody's day a good day.

Ash: Yeah, it's amazing how you want everyone to be happy.

Nicole: Yeah, I guess. So can we? Please, please, please! And then after that, I'll finally have something to talk to Jessica about!

Calum: Yeah, I guess it's not that bad of an idea. We should try it.

Ash: Okay, where's Luke?

Nicole: I'll get him. (Goes upstairs to Luke's room)

I went to Luke's room and saw his door was open. He was on his laptop looking at something. I just walked in and said, "Luke, guess what? Calum, Ash, and I are going out bowling so that it won't be a blue day!" Luke clearly got confused. I could tell by his facial expressions.

Nicole: Yeah, sorry. I kinda jumped there. I mean that it's kind of been a sad and boring day so Calum, Ash and I are going to go bowling to brighten it up. Wanna come?

Luke: Well, sure. I think it's cute that you care about having fun at this age.

Nicole: Ugh! Enough with the cuteness! I'm sick and tired of it!

Luke: (Laughs)

Well I guess I am going to be going outside today. I would've never guessed it.
