Nicole's POV

"Hey, kiddies. Just wanted to know if you guys are alright in here," said Luke as he walked in on me and Matt. I looked at him and said, "Yeah, we're good." He gave us a thumbs up and said, "Great. Just, uh, keep the door open and, umm, behave yourselves," and before I could say anything, Luke left the room. That was weird... and awkward. Anyway, I sat on my bed and Matthew said, "You've got a sweet room." I smiled and replied, "Thanks."

Matt: So, umm, listen. Judging by everything that's happening and stuff, are we like, boyfriend and girlfriend now?

Nicole: Yeah, I guess so. I mean, if you want to be! I don't wanna force anything!

Matt: Well would you like to be?

Nicole: Yeah. Would you?

Matt: Of course. I mean, I did ask you out in the first place.

Nicole: *laughs*

Matt: Oh, and there's one other thing I wanted to ask you.

Nicole: Ask away.

Matt: Do you know a guy named Carson?

Nicole: 😕 Umm, yeah. Why?

Matt: He's your ex, isn't he? He's like, my best friend.

Nicole: 😨 He is?!!

Matt: Yeah. By the way, umm, I hope you don't mind me talking about this 'cause it could be a sensitive topic but... did he break up with you or did you break up with him?

Nicole: Well I-I didn't even think it was a relationship in the first place.

Matt: Right, right. He threw himself onto you. I'm sorry. That was stupid of me to ask that.

Nicole: No, it's alright. I mean, I don't think things are awkward between us anymore.

Matt: Right. 'Cause he apologized for everything.

Nicole: Yeah. Hey, how do you know all about this stuff?

Matt: Well me and Carson talk a lot. We're buddies.

Nicole: Really? For how long?

Matt: Since we were kids I guess.

Nicole: And has he always been... well... you know... this way?

Matt: Yeah, but it's nothing to worry about now. He's a changed man. He's more mature now.

Nicole: I see.

Matt: Um, if you'd like, we can get off this topic.

Nicole: That'd be a good decision.

Matt: So I was wondering if you'd like to go see a movie or something after this.

Nicole: Well Calum has met you. Sure. Let me just go tell him.

Matt: Okay.

I went downstairs and saw Calum and Michael on the couch. I said to Calum, "Cal, can me and Matt go see a movie together?"

Calum: Ask me again when you have the right grammar.

Nicole: Ugh. Can Matt and I go see a movie together?

Calum: Well he seems like a pretty nice guy. Okay. Who do you want to be your chaperone?

Nicole: Chaperone? What are you talking about?

Michael: Well somebody has to watch you two. You can't just be by yourselves.

Nicole: We'll be surrounded by many other people in public. I think they're our chaperones. If anything happened, they'd see it.

Michael: You know what, Calum? Maybe she's right. It's not like she's going alone in a dark room with him.

Calum: Where are you hoping to go anywhere?

Nicole: The Galaxy theatre.

Calum: And what movie are you gonna watch?

Nicole: I don't know. We'll choose there.

Calum: Where are your tickets?

Nicole: We'll buy them there.

Calum: *mumbles* Dang it.

Nicole: So can I have some money?

Calum: *sighs* Fine. Is Matt paying for his own?

Nicole: I'll go ask him. *goes upstairs* Hey, Matt. Are you paying for your own ticket?

Matt: Yeah, I have the money in my wallet. So are you able to go?

Nicole: Yep! What movie do you wanna see?

Matt: Well how about Jurassic World?

Nicole: Oh, my god. Yes!

Matt: Great! But because this is a date, we should both get a little dressed up, don't you think?

Luke: I agree.

Nicole: Whoa! Luke! How long have you been standing there?!

Luke: Ever since you came back upstairs. Hey, Matt, I can drive you back home so you can get dolled up and then drop you guys off to the theatres.

Matt: Yeah, that'd be cool. Thanks.

Luke: No prob. Nicole, you get ready while I drop Matt off at his house, alright?

Nicole: Okay.

Then Luke and Matt exited my room and I opened my wardrobe. "What to wear, what to wear," I said to myself. "I can help you," said Ash in the doorway. I jumped and said, "Ashton! You could knock!" He laughed and walked in. Then he said, "Sorry. I can help you dress up for your date you know." I smiled at him and said, "Thanks, Ashton." He smiled back and replied, "No problem. Now let's look through your wardrobe."
