"The movie 1D showed you a couple of weeks ago," Calum said. I let out my breath and responded, "Well, it was a really scary movie but it wasn't so scary that I would have a bad dream." Then Calum gave Luke the Told You So look. Luke stuck his tongue out at Calum. I chuckled and ate my lunch that was sitting on the table. After eating, I went back upstairs to my room. But while I had entered my room, I saw somebody in my window staring at me and I looked to see a guy with binoculars looking through the window and walking away as if to the front door. This guy is watching us and is about to come in. I screamed and a second later, they all came upstairs and saw me sitting on the ground crying. They kneeled down and Calum said worriedly, "Nicole! WHAT HAPPENED?" I replied, "There was a guy in the window with binoculars and he was watching me. He walked around the house heading for the front door." Luke ran downstairs and locked the door and Ashton got his phone out and dialled 911 immediately. I was still crying. Then Calum said, "Don't worry, Nicole. We're going to call the police and this guy is going to get caught. Did you see what he looked like?" I said, "He had a grey beanie on and a leather jacket and he looked tall." I was still crying and Calum hugged me, his left hand supporting the back of my head and his other hand on my back. His chin was resting on top of my head. He rubbed my back and said, "Shh, Shh, it's all going to be alright." I could hear Ashton on the phone and he had heard the description I gave that guy so he repeated it to the police. "Okay... Thank you... Bye," Ashton said into the phone as he turned it off. "The police said they will get further into but until then, we need to keep our blinds closed and our door and windows locked. They are going to warn everyone around town to stay alert," he said, "I'll go help Luke close the blinds and windows." Then he went downstairs. Calum and I were still together and he said, "How about you get some rest in my room? I think you need it." Then he helped me get up and he brought me to his room. Ashton and Luke had already locked Calum's window and closed his blinds. I laid on the bed as my crying had stopped. He put the blanket over me and said, "Its okay now." Then he kissed my forehead and left the room, closing the door behind him. I was still a little shocked about what had just happened but I managed to go to sleep because my eyes were hurting after crying.

WAKING UP
11:26 PM

I woke up instantly remembering what had happened but feeling better about it. I looked to my side and saw Calum laying down beside me. I noticed the time on the clock and wondered why I had slept for such a long time. I felt safe and warm because Calum was by my side. I felt the urge to go back to sleep so I did.

THE NEXT MORNING
8:52 AM

After I had woken up and took Cocoa for a walk, I noticed she wasn't feeling very well. I was tracing back my steps wondering if I had been doing anything wrong and nothing came to mind except for playing with her. Maybe I need to play with her more often. She's probably lonely. What I did was, instead of feeding her the normal way, I did a food prize thing to train her. She seemed really hungry. "Okay, Cocoa. Here is what is going to happen. I'm going to do an action and you are going to copy me in order to get this treat," I said as I waved her biscuit in the air. Then I said, "Wait a minute." I quickly went downstairs and grabbed a box of HUMAN cookies. I put them on my bed. "Look at me, Cocoa," I said. I rolled on the ground in my room and then took a cookie and ate it. "If you want a biscuit, you need to do what I do," I mentioned. I rolled a couple more times and then let Cocoa do it. She ended up actually doing it!!!! "Yay, Cocoa!" I said while clapping and then I gave her a treat. I then spent hours teaching her tricks until it was lunch. I had to eat my food fast so I could go back to Cocoa. "Wow, you seem to be in a rush," said Luke. Then I responded, "I've been teaching Cocoa tricks for the past couple of hours and so far, she has learned 7 of them. But, um, by the way, you know how you got me Cocoa because she is supposed to protect me?"

Ashton: Yeah?

Nicole: Well, she hasn't done a very good job of it.

Calum: What do you mean?

Nicole: I mean, she doesn't really seem like the dog you described when you gave her to me. You said she was small but a very good guard dog. All she does is sleep, eat, walk, and poop. She seems like she's too fun and preppy.

Luke: I suppose you are right, Nicole but think about it. Would you rather have a serious, no fun puppy that only does one thing and that's protects you? Or would you have a preppy, fun, smart, cute puppy that loves you?

Nicole: I see your point.

After lunch, I went back upstairs and saw Cocoa laying down on my bed as if she was tired. "You are probably tired as ever, aren't you?" She started to pant. I laughed. I sat with her and said, "You can take a nap if you want. I don't wanna work you too hard." Instantly, Cocoa walked onto me and cuddled into my lap. She fell asleep.
