The reason I had to leave the group chat was because Luke was calling me downstairs . I went downstairs and saw Luke, Calum and Ashton all with instruments. But Calum didn't have a bass. He had a piano instead. I asked, "Calum, why do you have a piano instead of a bass?" He replied to me, "Well one of the strings on my bass broke so this is the other instrument I know how to play. Either way, I still know how to play "Life Of The Party" on both instruments." I nodded and Ashton asked, "Are you ready?"

Nicole: Wait, we're doing it now?

Luke: Well, yeah.

Nicole: Well do you have the camera set up?

Calum: Yep! (points to camera sitting on a tripod)

Nicole: Okay, don't we need to set up?

Ashton: It's already set up. We're all gonna be in chairs and you're gonna be leaning on the piano while singing, okay?

Nicole: Um, okay?

Luke: We need to make this an awesome video. So just lean your forearm on the edge of the piano and sing real calmly, okay?

Nicole: Sure.

Calum: Just relax and do your thing. We're putting it on timer.

Calum walked over to the camera and the light started beeping. He ran over to his seat and quickly said, "When the light turns green, it's recording." 5 seconds later, the light turned green and Luke started his guitar. In the beginning, the guitar was the only instrument playing. Soon enough, I started. I felt a bit shy because I'm not used to being in front of a camera. Then I felt kind of better as I got to the chorus.

Eventually we finished the song and Calum stopped it. Right after he stopped it, all 3 of them started clapping for me. I made this face to them: 😠. Luke then said, "Aw, come on. You were absolutely amazing, Nicole. It's definitely gonna be a huge success on YouTube." I rolled my eyes and Ashton said, "Well I don't know about you but all this music is making me hungry. Let's eat dinner." We went to the kitchen and ate our dinner. I didn't feel so good about the video I made. I bet you that there'll be lots of haters. They'll think I'm a show off or something. I ate my food silently while the others talked. Then Luke asked me, "Nicole, you seem so silent. Why?" I looked up and spit it all out. (Not the food! My thoughts! Gross!) "Well I was thinking about the video being put on YouTube. What if people don't like it?" I said.

Calum: Nicole, you have an amazing voice. Nobody is going to hate.

Ashton: And if they do, you know exactly what to do.

Luke: Yeah, ignore.

Ashton: What? No, you can say right back to them they can't do any better.

Calum: (sing-songy voice) Ashton, bad message.

Ashton: Ooh, sorry.

I laughed and we continued to eat. After eating I went back upstairs to text somebody. But I had seen that Taylor and Jessica had been continuing that group chat the WHOLE TIME! I joined again.

Nicole: Hi guys! how come u guys r still talking?

Taylor: idk we had a lot 2 talk about. but hello again!

Nicole: I just filmed the video!

Jessica: OMG congrats! I bet it went awesome

Taylor: did u already put it on YouTube? I wanna check it out

Nicole: one sec. I'm gonna ask Ash if he put it on YouTube. brb

I went downstairs and asked Ash and he replied, "I'm doing it now. Ooh, aren't you excited?" I shrugged and said, "Ehh..." I ran back upstairs and grabbed my iPod.

Nicole: Ash is putting it on YouTube now

Jessica: awesome! this is just gonna make u even more famous!

Taylor: I bet u every single person in the world will c it!

Nicole: well we don't know that

Jessica: aren't u psyched that I sang on video?

Nicole: not really 😒

Taylor: why not?

Nicole: I'm just a bit worried about what viewers will say. I just hope they like my voice

Jessica: I just found it!!!

Nicole: what?

Taylor: I found it 2!!!

Nicole: what r u guys talking about?

Jessica: ur video! I'm gonna watch it now

Taylor: me 2

Nicole: I haven't even seen it so I guess I should check it out 2. talk 2 u after the video

Taylor: bye

Jessica: bye!
