NICOLE'S POV

When it was lunchtime, Shawn sat down with us at the table and we talked about specific topics.

Calum: So, Shawn, do you have a girlfriend at the moment?

Shawn: I wish. I have to admit, I'm not the most popular with the girls.

Ash: Oh, you must be kidding me, Shawn. The girls love you!

Shawn: *laughs* Thanks, man.

Luke: That reminds me. I might be getting back together with Selena.

Nicole: Oh, my god. Really?

Luke: Don't freak out so quickly, Nicole. Note that I said might. Might, Nicole. Might.

Nicole: Might is enough for me to freak out!

Shawn: *laughs*

Nicole: When did you decide you were getting back together with her?

Luke: Might get back together with her.

Nicole: Hey. It's all the same to me, buddy.

*Everyone laughs*

Luke: Well I decided when I felt bad that I left her so harshly. I thought maybe she was right. Maybe she wasn't cheating and she was telling the truth the whole time. I called her up and told her I was a jerk and stuff and --

Nicole: She forgave you?

Luke: Well, yeah. But then I asked her if we could try it again and she said she'll have to think about it. I mean, I did freak out at her pretty violently. I don't blame her for wanting to think it over. She told me that phone call was quite a wreck, but she'll consider it. She said she'd call me back another day.

Nicole: Wow.

Ash: That's some big ass -- *covers mouth*

Calum: *whisper/yells* Ash!

Nicole: Did you say something, Ash? I couldn't hear you.

Ash: Um, nope. I didn't say anything.

Nicole: Oh. Okay.

After lunch, I went up to my room and decided to listen in on the guys's conversation. I've noticed I've been doing that quite often now which has been cruel and deceitful... But whatever. I listened in and started to freak out about what Shawn was saying about me.

Shawn: Have you noticed how funny Nicole is? She's hilarious, man. You guys are lucky to have her.

Ash: Yeah, we sure are. I just hope she knows she's as great as everyone thinks she is. I mean, Luke and I had a talk with her before you came and we asked her honestly on a scale of 1 - 10 how beautiful she thought she was and you know what she said?

Shawn: What?

Ash: Tell him, Luke.

Luke: Well first she said a 6, then she thought it was lower so she said a 4, but then she thought it was higher so she said a 5.

Calum: Whoa, whoa, whoa. You guys had a talk with her and she really said that?

Shawn: That's a terrible thing. How come she thinks of herself like that?

Luke: It's because of some stupid girl at school named Hannah who bullied Nicole months ago. She was a total bitch to her. She verbally bullied her, physically bullied her, and also cyber bullied her. Hannah texted her threats too.

Shawn: The poor girl. I hate girls who think they're better than everyone else. As cool as they might be, they shouldn't let it get to their heads.

Ash: So true, man. So true.

I stopped listening in and just thought about Hannah. I didn't see her at school today so I doubt she'll be coming back at all. Thank god that happened but she still haunts me. Her words, her punches, her threats. I still remember it all like it was yesterday. Anyway, I decided to text Jessica. But then I thought, oh no. I forgot all about Taylor. I totally freaked out at that girl! I'm a total idiot, aren't I? Taylor must be thinking I'm mad at her. I'm not though. I was only mad at that time. I have to text her and tell her that I was only being a jerk and that I'm not mad at her. It was all my fault. I brought out my iPod and started to text those words.
