First I informed Calum and then I informed Ashton. I did that in less than 2 minutes so I still had some time to get some Oreos out of the cupboard for Bernie. Then, Bernie came. We sat on the couch and I said to her that maybe she should wait for the boys to come downstairs so that she doesn't seem desperate or creepy. Even though she is. We were talking about it on the couch.

Bernie: So personally, which one is your favourite and why?

Nicole: Um, why do you want to know?

Bernie: Well I want to know your opinion so that I have a good insight of what these people's good qualities are and how I can benefit from them.

Nicole: ... I didn't understand a word of that but I'm gonna tell you anyway. It's Calum.

Bernie: Why?

Nicole: Well Calum just seems to care the most about me and he is really funny. He's also quite the prankster just like me and we have a lot in common. We spend a lot of time together and he understands me.

Bernie: Wow. Deep.

Nicole: Ugh.

Bernie: Anyway, I have a plan.

Nicole: A plan? Why would you need a plan?

Bernie: Because I just do. So this is how it's gonna go. When one of the boys come downstairs, I'm gonna nudge you and you have to whisper to me which boy that is, okay?

Nicole: But why would I have to tell you their names if they're gonna tell you them when they meet you?

Bernie: ... You just have to ruin everything, don't you, Nicole?

Nicole: (laughs)

All of a sudden, Ashton came down the stairs. Just Ashton. Bernie quickly nudged me and it kinda hurt but I whispered her his name. Then Ashton saw Bernie and said, "Hi! You're Bernie, the girl Nicole's been talking about. I'm Ashton. Nice to meet you." Then Ashton held his hand out for Bernie to shake and she shook it. "Likewise," Bernie replied. Then Ashton went into the kitchen.

Bernie: Okay, okay. My plan was really useless but who cares?

Nicole: I don't. I ain't judging.

Bernie: Good.

Nicole: So do you like that one?

Bernie: Hmm... well... he's got quite the odd...

Nicole: Yes?

Bernie: The odd...

Nicole: Spit it out...

Bernie: The odd complexion.

Nicole: Whatever. Lets wait for the others.

Soon enough, Luke came down and then Calum. After Bernie had met them, we went up to my room and decided to talk.

Nicole: Okay. Now tell me which one is your favourite. You've seen them all and met them all. Now's the hard part.

Bernie: I like... Luke.

Nicole: (claps) YAYYY!!!

Bernie: They were all awesome guys but Luke just seemed the nicest, the calmest, and the most gorgeous.

Nicole: (laughs) Fine by me. I wonder if Jessica would like one of them.

Bernie: Ugh. She'd like all of them.

Nicole: Say what you want, Bernie but I know Jessica. And I just remembered she's not into boys.

Bernie: Sure...

Nicole: Whatever.

An hour later, Bernie left and I was remembering about Jessica and Bernie not being friends. I wish they were. It'd be so awesome because then we could have sleepovers without anybody getting mad at each other. For some reason, it's getting harder and harder to deal with 2 best friends that hate each other. Maybe I just need to talk to somebody about it. So I went to Calum's room. His door was open and he was on his laptop. I knocked on the door and he looked at me. "Hey, princess. What's up?" I walked in and asked, "Can I talk to you about something?" He then paused, closed his laptop, sat on his bed and gestured for me to sit down beside him. I sat beside him and he said, "Shoot." I then shot.

Nicole: Well I have this friend, and she's not feeling very comfortable because she's in a tight space between her and her two best friends. Both of her best friends hate each other and she doesn't like that because she wants all of them to hang out together without any tension. How does she deal with that?

Calum: Well first of all, she needs to chill. I bet both if her friends wouldn't want her to feel this way. Has she talked to them about it?

Nicole: Yes, many times.

Calum: Has she expressed her feelings with them?

Nicole: Well, no, but--

Calum: Thats the problem. You see, if those girls were her real friends, they wouldn't leave this situation be if their best friend wasn't feeling good about it. They'd help her with it.

Nicole: But what if she's too scared to talk to them about it?

Calum: Well then there's only one way to solve it and I can guarantee it'll work.

Nicole: What? What is it?

Calum: Tell your friend to put her bib on, get her pacifier and sit in the corner until she becomes a woman!

Nicole: Uh, okay?

Calum: Your friend shouldn't be afraid to let her feelings out in front of a friend. I mean, that's what friends are for. Being there for each other.

Nicole: Right. Thanks, Cal.

Calum: No problem.

I stood up from the bed, and was about to walk out until Calum stopped me while I was at the doorway. "Hey, Nicole?" I turned and waited for him to say something. "Just wondering, your friend wouldn't happen to have 3 teenage babysitters and have an N at the beginning of her name... would she?" I paused. I then sighed and nodded. He got off the bed and came towards me. He hugged me tightly and I hugged back. When he let go, I left the room feeling... relaxed. Calm. Like a weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. But here's the thing. I kinda didn't want to tell Bernie and Jessica how I felt. You know why? Because I didn't feel that way. For some reason, Calum's little speech soothed me into having more confidence in my friends for them to deal it out themselves. Woohoo! I love my life!
