Chapter 4

I decided to hide Luke's guitar in a more unpredictable place, unlike my own closet. I'm not going to hide it in my room because that's too easy. Hm, maybe I'll hide it in his own room!!! I will hide it under his bed! Now all I have to do is grab the guitar and sneak into Luke's room. I opened my closet and grabbed the guitar. Then I walked out of my room with Luke's guitar in my hand as I tip toed down the stairs to the living room. I was really hoping Luke wasn't in his room at the moment. Instead, I saw him in the kitchen making a sandwich. Thank goodness! His back was turned around so I silently speed walked to his room. I opened his door and saw the inside of his room. I then walked in and laid the guitar down flat on its back. I then tried sliding it under his bed but it wouldn't really fit. I tried pushing it harder but it still wouldn't fit. Then I think I pushed it too hard as I heard a loud snap and a string that was sticking out of the bed. I pulled the guitar fully out and I thought, doesn't Luke's guitar have 6 strings? Well not anymore. Oops. I just broke Luke's guitar trying to hide it!!!! Who am I?!!?! Luke is going to be so angry! He is going to kill me!!!!!!!! What am I going to do? I quickly left Luke's room and all the way to mine, not worrying if Luke saw me or not. I closed my door and tried to fix the guitar. I tried straightening the string but that didn't work. Then I tried replacing the string with a ribbon but it made no sound. I give up. How am I going to tell Luke that I broke his guitar? I guess the best thing to do right now is to keep the guitar in my closet and wait for Luke to notice. After I put the guitar in my closet and closed the door, I took my iPod out and started texting Jessica. She always answers me right away.

Nicole: I have a problem

Jessica: Wat is it?

Nicole: I just broke Lukes guitar

Jessica: 🙀 U in trouble!!!!!!!!

Nicole: thnx 4 the support Jess. That makes me feel a whole lot better.

Jessica: sorry it was an auto correct. I meant 2 say its gonna be ok Nicole. Im here 4 u.

Nicole: nice save. 😏

Jessica: thnx. anyway, how did u break it?

Nicole: I was mad at Luke so I took his guitar and I decided 2 hide it but I tried hiding it under his bed and it didn't fit and I pushed 2 hard and 1 of the strings broke

Jessica: ... wow

Nicole: ikr? I don't know what I'm gonna do

Jessica: I have an idea. lie.

Nicole: lie? how?

Jessica: tell him that somebody else broke it

Nicole: well I guess I could say Ashton broke it

Jessica: who's Ashton

Nicole: he's a guy that Luke introduced me 2

Jessica: oh then blame it on him

Nicole: idk Jess Ashton is so nice an innocent and I don't think it would be nice

Jessica: come on I've framed ppl b4 and it is soooo eazy

Nicole: I know but even if it is eazy, I don't want this situation 2 get any worse.

Jessica: ur probably right. I don't wanna b a bad influence on u

Nicole: it's ok but I am definitely not going 2 tell luke that I broke it

Jessica: WHAT?!!? WHY NOT?!!?

Nicole: Cuz he'll freak out! I'm just going 2 put his guitar back in his room and he'll c that his guitar is broken

Jessica: wont he suspect it was u?

Nicole: nope I doubt it

Jessica: good idea anyway I gotta go 2 the dentist right now so bye!!!

Nicole: hope u flossed! bye!

Then I turned off my iPod and opened my closet. I grabbed the guitar and went to Luke's room and put it in his closet on his stand again. He won't notice it's gone. I am a genius. But now I know never to prank anyone ever again. Ha! Who am I kidding? Of course I'm gonna prank people! It's who I am. Anyway, I went to the kitchen and Luke wasn't there. Well, if he wasn't in the kitchen and he wasn't in the living room... all of a sudden, I heard footsteps going upstairs. Luke's going to his room!!!! He's going to see the guitar and how it's broken!! I am so worried right now and I really hope Luke doesn't realize that I broke his guitar. I went up to my room and just sat on my bed, waiting for Luke to either come in or call me. I waited for 10 minutes, and he never came. He must've not thought that I broke his guitar!!!! That, or he just didn't see it. But I think he just didn't think I broke his guitar.
