"He's sleeping and he needs rest! So even if you did knock on his door, he wouldn't answer," I finally said to Luke. And then I had an idea. "See? Watch." I walked over to Ashton's closed door and knocked on it while saying, "Ashton?" No answer. 😏 Luke shrugged his shoulders and said, "Well why didn't you say that before? Then I wouldn't have had to push past you at the bottom of the stairs." Luke walked back down and so did I. But right when we got back down, the door had opened and there appeared Ashton. Luke saw him and was utterly confused. I did a face palm and thought to myself, I give up. After a small conversation between Luke and Ashton about what really happened, they agreed to keep it to themselves and not tell Michael and Calum.

When Michael and Calum came home, they both sat down with me to ask me a question. "Nicole, your birthday's coming up, right?" asked Calum.

Nicole: How did you know when my birthday was?

Calum: You told me.

Nicole: Well yeah, like, last year. You remembered?

Calum: Of course I did. Some birthdays just click in my head, ya know? Anyway, is there anything specific you may want?

Nicole: Yes!

Michael: (smiles) Okay, what is it?

Nicole: A NEW IPOD!

Michael: You know what? The new iPod 6 just came out a few months ago. (A/N No joke, guys. It actually did. I'm getting it for my b-day. Yay!)

Nicole: Really?

Michael: Yeah, but it's like $500.

Nicole: Oh.

Calum: How about you make a list of a few things that you may want?

Nicole: Okay!

Michael: But first! Do you have any homework?

Nicole: Yeah.

Michael: Well do that first.

Nicole: Can't I like, wait an hour and then do it? (LOL the most commonly said statement when it comes to homework).

Calum: Nope. Do it now so you can get it over with.

Then Michael's phone started ringing. He pulled it out, checked it, and then said, "Sorry, I have to take this," as he stood up and walked away.

Nicole: Calum, pleaaaaase.

Calum: Nope. Now.

Nicole: It's only a bit of Math.

Calum: Math is important. Go do it.

Nicole: I have 3 questions left! 3!

Calum: That means it shouldn't take long. You need to do it.

Nicole: And I will. Eventually.

Calum: Nicole, go do it. Please.

Nicole: Ugh, come on, Calum.

Calum: Do you know what you're doing right now, Nicole? This is called procrastinating. Do you know what that means?

Nicole: Calum, I already have enough work on my hands.

Calum: Procrastinating is when you push your priorities forward and some people just never get around to doing them.

Nicole: But I will get around to doing it!

Calum: Nicole, enough arguing. Go do it.

Nicole: But --

Calum: But nothing. You're not doing anything until your homework is done.

Nicole: (sighs)

I brought my backpack upstairs to my room and got my math textbook out along with my notebook. The work is easy. It's just boring. 😐

After finishing my homework in about 15 minutes, I started to get on that list.
